The staff don't make the gym, but they are friendly. After being closed for so long, I was surprised by the amount of dog hair, people hair, clumps of fluff and dirt were in the turf. I'd love for it to be way cleaner since people lay on that surface. Overall, it's a nice franchise. I am considering quitting membership bc the main reasons I chose Chuze was bc of the saunas, which aren't open.

The employee Val is very rude. I never had such a bad experience at chuze until now. I'm canceling my membership.

I would love to have given this 5 stars, but the membership cancellation process has left me an extremely sour taste in my mouth. To start off, I did enjoy the gym. I was able to use the hydro massage chairs which was great for after my workouts. The staff was very friendly (for the most part, will talk about why I used that specific verbiage later). I joined this gym about two years ago and it was great. Over the past year it has gotten teally bad. They went from one of the cleanest gyms I've ever seen to being trashed. The containers that hold wipes are always empty, you have to clean your own hydro massage chair (they used to do it for you), and the batheooms have gotten really gross. They also have a points program but have recently changed it so you can't get clothing or a free month with your points. There was no communication or warning about this change. I actually really like this gym in general but today ran into a deal breaker issue with their class scheduling and the hours of their kids center. I signed up for the top membership level specifically because it offers both classes AND childcare - no other membership level offers both features. These two features are critical for me since I am a single mom on a limited income. It's a failure when these two features don't work together. I was really excited about joining this gym after leaving a premium athletic club in Cherry Creek because the athletic club was remodeling once again, limiting access without reducing cost to make-up for reduced access. Well, now Chuze on Monaco is "remodeling" the steam room with "no schedule for re-opening", according to the front desk. What the "H"?? Why am I paying $40 a month for a 3 lane pool? Callous customer service, very limited equipment and a limited schedule. Very limited options equipment wise. Think Planet Fitness with a pool and a movie theater (?!) Not enough of the same equipment for this type of gym. They have a "functional training" area but there is very little equipment, there isn't a rig for TRX or pull ups and the turf area is always full of people stretching. Be forewarned. If you are 60 seconds late to a class they won't let you in. So...if you live in the real world of working and traffic and life....and you like to take classes but need flexibility this is NOT the place for you.

I still like Chuze a LOT better than 24 Hour or Planet Fitness but wanted to share a few updates. While they've added more equipment, including free squat racks, it is definitely getting very crowded, making it difficult to get one that's available. The barbells are equally popular and they only have one of each from 20 to 100 lbs, same as the EZ bars.
