My aunt has complex care needs and came to the home unsettled some years ago. The staff could not have been more supportive in every aspect and she felt loved and cared for which has helped her settle. She has enjoyed all the activities and seemed to thrive (despite natural progression of her illness). My father moved in last month and has settled in very well. I spoke with everyone I knew in the care profession and read reviews sites and the CQC reports. The clear winner in terms of care was Cumnor Hill House and I must admit so far, I cannot fault it. It will be lovely when we can spend move time in the home with my father with hopefully the covid restrictions easing!

I am the brother-in-law to your resident and both my wife have noticed an improvement in her condition since we last visited her last year. She is generally more aware and responsive and speaks very highly of your staff and the care and attention she receives. Many thanks.

My review is based on my experience of Cumnor Hill from Christmas 2017 when my cousin moved in, to March/April 2021 when ownership and senior management changed. The home is well run and the family and I have a strong belief that it will continue. During these very trying times of the pandemic, the virus has been well controlled and because of that control, our cousin has been very well looked after.

My father had rapid onset of complex needs and had a number of failed placements. When he arrived at Cumnor Hill House I very quickly grew a relationship of trust with the home. The home worked hard with outside professionals to make this placement work supporting a long list of care plans, they communicated transparently and welcomed all visits, family, friends and professionals. Cumnor Hill House is an amazing home, so welcoming and accomodating. My mum really enjoys living there and has settled in so well. She loves the garden and the activities that are provided. The care is fantastic and it gives us peace of mind that she is so well cared for.

All of the staff at Cumnor Hill House are relaxed, confident and friendly. They take time to chat with you and they remember family members. My uncle who travels up from Dorset with his wife are treated so well. Pre-covid restrictions we would have lunch there too. There is plenty of activities, the place is spotless and the food is fantastic. The receptionists are welcoming and the surroundings are chic and modern. The trolley is a hugely valued service but the operator is not a registered employee. She is fully committed to the wider community and always willing to support areas within it that are short-staffed. She has run the service for many years and is a ray of sunshine throughout the development.
