TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

On my visit to Salem, OR, my best friend and I decided to try Dave's Hot Chicken - as it had been a new-ish spot in town, she wanted to finally give a shot. I was so excited to try Dave's Hot Chicken after bingeing social media video reviews but was disappointed with what I found. I ordered the #3, the tender on bread and the sandwich, medium. I definitely should've ordered hot because the medium had no spice that I could tell. There was hardly any kale slaw, which seems like it might've added to the flavor profile. The chicken itself was fine but not amazing like people make it sound. And there was no satisfying crunch when I took a bite... not sure how they get that effect on... read more
Food was super hot and delicious! They loaded us up on fries too which was good. Server was polite and friendly the entire time.
Service and food were great! I really enjoyed the new mini sliders. A must go-to place.
Juicy flavorful chicken and worth the price! The medium has a nice spicy dry rub and yet produces a moist chicken.

Talk about an explosion of flavour! I had the two piece tenders, medium heat. Perfect amount of spice for me. The chicken was juicy, hot, fresh cooked and delicious! The fries were hot and crispy. So yum! I definitely recommend this restaurant.
If you like fried chicken and hot sauce, this place is legit. It was so good. I will say the heat level is crazy. I had the "hot" level and it was plenty spicy for me. I enjoy habanero salsa so I was surprised. It might be a mix of seasoning spicy and heat from chillies (?). Not sure and definitely not an expert. But it was juicy and fresh to order which is a big win.
Our whole family LOVEs Dave's hot chicken! The food is bomb, the environment is chill (indoor and outdoor seating, clean, lots of light, cool graffiti everywhere) and awesome service. They take care of their military service members and we appreciate them! Always a perfect lunch when out and shopping. It's always a win to find a place that the kids enjoy too!
