As we continue to try every restaurant in Salem, we veered off the traditional and tried a fast food joint since Dave's is new in town. First and most importantly, this restaurant is not for the health conscious person, between the deep fry and salt I'd give it a 0 out of 5. Three older people were near us and All of them dumped their lunches. I found it odd that they put an emphasis on tipping as they don't truly serve you in any way. As far as ambience goes, it's cute! Enjoyed my first time at Dave's hot chicken! I heard a lot about this restaurant and wanted to check it out for myself. It did not disappoint- the chicken has lots of flavor and love the added slaw and crispy pickles. Staff was friendly!
Had a great first experience at Dave's hot chicken in Salem OR. Food was delicious and we received our food very quickly. Love the outdoor seating options. There was a slight error on our order and they were quick to replace the item and check in on us after.

Amazing food! I really enjoyed it a lot and would come back. I think the spice was the best
Never been here before... I am not a fan of KFC at all, won't eat it. I LOVE Popeyes chickens spice. I really enjoyed the chicken at Dave's hot chicken. I got the mild/medium heat. I would have gone spicier had I known the heat of the medium spice chicken. I like spicy but not burn the other end spicy... the fries and Dave's sauce was great! Loved the pickles! No kids menu!!

Do yourself a favor and just go to Chick Fil A . The crunchy chicken sandwich was mediocre and lacked flavor (a pale comparison to CFA's deluxe crispy chicken) in addition the Mac n cheese was a huge disappointment (again compared with CFA's divine Mac n cheese). The crinkle fries however were quite good and the fry sauce was to die for but I wouldn't choose this over chick fil a or Red Robin ever.

Food was delicious. Was very busy, but food came out quickly and tasted very fresh. I was worried about the spiciness, so I ordered hot. Next time I will go very hot. I love spicy food, my husband thought it was spicy though.
Love their food if you're into the junky! Went into the drive thru and customer service was real nice. The environment is real nice to just kick back as well.
