Food was hot & delicious!! Ordered the Carolina Ripper #3 slider & tender on point! Couldn't finish it, I used to grow Carolina ripper peppers so if you're not used to the heat don't try this! I took the challenge & felt like death was upon me! I recommend Dave's hot chicken for sure coming back!! On my visit to Salem, OR, my best friend and I decided to try Dave's Hot Chicken - as it had been a new-ish spot in town, she wanted to finally give a shot. I was so excited to try Dave's Hot Chicken after bingeing social media video reviews but was disappointed with what I found. I ordered the #3, the tender on bread and the sandwich, medium. I definitely should've ordered hot because the medium had no spice that I could tell. There was hardly any kale slaw, which seems like it might've added to the flavor profile. Food was super hot and delicious! They loaded us up on fries too which was good. Server was polite and friendly the entire time.

Talk about an explosion of flavour! I had the two piece tenders, medium heat. Perfect amount of spice for me. The chicken was juicy, hot, fresh cooked and delicious! The fries were hot and crispy. So yum! I definitely recommend this restaurant.

If you like fried chicken and hot sauce, this place is legit. It was so good. I will say the heat level is crazy. I had the "hot" level and it was plenty spicy for me. I enjoy habanero salsa so I was surprised. It might be a mix of seasoning spicy and heat from chillies (?). Not sure and definitely not an expert. But it was juicy and fresh to order which is a big win.
