Dave's Hot Chicken never disappoints. The moment you walk in, the smell alone is enough to get your mouth watering. The chicken is always perfectly crispy on the outside and unbelievably juicy on the inside. Their spice levels give you full control--from mild and flavorful to "I've made a huge mistake" hot--and every level still tastes amazing instead of just spicy for the sake of it.

Probably the best hot chicken chain in Houston flavor-wise. I come here all of the time and it's always tasty, but the spice levels are inconsistent so watch out because sometimes the extra hot is too hot or not hot enough. There's usually a long line full of students so be prepared if you're going late at night. There is always plenty of parking behind the restaurant if there's not enough spots in the shared lot with Velvet Taco.

The service at Dave's Hot Chicken was really good. The workers were nice and helped me right away when I ordered. They talked clearly and made sure I got what I wanted. The food came fast, and everything looked clean. When I asked for extra sauce, they gave it to me with a smile. The workers seemed like they cared about their job and wanted people to be happy.
