TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

This hot chicken place is amazing. The chicken was cooked perfectly: no dry parts, all moist. The spiciness is addicting. I got the 2 tenders with fries combo. The fries didn't need sauce at all; they almost remind me of Rally's fries. You're able to change the level of spiciness of the chicken. I chose very hot (one level down from the max), and it makes me want to try the max spiciness level. I've seen so many great reviews about this place and finally got the chance to try them out while on vacation in Houston this past weekend. I loved every bit of it! The freshness of the made to order food to the pickles. I loved it so much I had to go back the next day. To say the menu is pretty basic it reminds me of canes if they had spicy chicken options and I love canes. Now since I'm back home I've been craving Dave's! I'd go back for sure for the food and the cool aesthetics they have going on. Try 'em out
Sliders were okay, not the greatest. Fries were well seasoned but wasn't as fresh and seemed a bit soggy. Ordered hot thinking it would have some spice, but it didn't have any. Food didn't take too long considering it was right after a football game.
Really good food. I really enjoyed their 2 tenders and sliders. Their staff is also very hospitable
It's coo. I like chicken and i like fries this place has both of that and that's the reason I came.
We came here after having a bad experience at Gus's Fried Chicken (food was over cooked and borderline inedible, plus our server was extremely rude). But Dave's: the food is quick, fresh and DELISH--and the employees are so nice. It's a clean, easy and straightforward experience every time. I love the sliders--when I'm not too hungry, one of those & some fries hit the spot. If you're hungrier, get the 2 slider combo or the slider + 1 tender combo. Highly recommend!

We came on a Sunday afternoon around 1:00 PM, hoping for a quick order to go. 2x Sliders with Fries Combo ($13.99) - 3.75/5 Two Chick-fil-A size sandwiches with a Small-Medium quantity of fries. The dry rub comes on both the chicken and fries. Chicken: Sizeable and well flavored with their dry rub. Good smokiness to it. Fries: Crinkle cut, standard. Don't let anyone tell you different! The HOT is hot, just a dry rub instead of wet. Chicken was very juicy.
