Dave's Hot Chicken is Newton is a solid 12/10. First off, the chicken sandwiches are out of this world. The slider bread, kale slaw, and pickles in addition to the chicken make this the perfect sandwich! The spice levels are perfect for anyone-from those who don't want any spice all the way to the more daring spice fanatics. Solid chicken sandwich a bit outside of Boston in Newton! One mix up people may have is to mistake a slider for a small chicken sandwich but it is a decent size for 1 person! We got their slider, some fries, and a strawberry milkshake. To my surprise, since I am not a huge sandwich fan, I was pleasantly surprised by how filling and yummy everything was! Tried Dave's for the first time recently (ordered delivery) and was shocked by how SALTY everything was. So salty both my boyfriend and I couldn't finish it. I don't know if this was maybe a fluke, but because of how overwhelmingly salty everything was, I don't know that I'd eat here again. 3 stars because the sauce was delicious and the fries and chicken were good, but the seasoning was way too much. We also got medium spice and didn't feel it was spicy at all.

Excellent all around! This Dave's on Needham street has the most awesome staff. They're so friendly and the food is consistently good. Love this place!

Excellent customer service. The guy that rang me up was originally from Virginia and was friendly and very kind. The food was outstanding both time I have went and I will be going back.

Ordered the #1 w/ hot heat; came w 2 tenders and fries. Everything looks amazing, love the atmosphere, got great customer service. Def recommend this place

If you are looking for some southern fried chicken, dave's is the perfect spot! Chicken is always juicy and pairs well with the cajun seasoned fries.. oh and don't forget to ask for honey packets to drizzle on the chicken! Staff was friendly and the interior has some cool art on the wall. I have been there twice and definitely plan to visit more often!
