Sooo happy Omaha has a Dave Hot Chicken! I got my food to go and it was delicious. The staff was hard working and friendly. The sweetness from the bun to the crunchiness of the chicken, everything was great. However, I will say for those of you waiting outside in line be aware of having a bucket of what I hope was water dumped on you...I was in line when all of a sudden the person next to me and I got soaked from someone throwing some water down on to us. We were very confused at what had just happened.

This review is based on two separate visits on two different days. Pictures attached were taken on opening night. We went opening day, wait was about an hour but once we got inside the time for food was not bad! I got the slider and tender option no kale slaw and pickles. Food was delicious, flavorful, and hot (I could go up one). The fries were great and crispy. The Dave's sauce was not my favorite which is why I was so glad the slider wasn't drenched it it! Second time I've been here second time I've had terrible service. Missing items and the chicken was raw in the middle. Contacted customer service and Jorge from management said "Sorry give us another try some time". $30 of food right in the trash. Not eating a salmonella bomb. Never again.

I wish I had read reviews before wasting $13. The chicken is average with added spice levels. I wish the spice/heat blend had a balance. It's just how much chili powder do you want piled on the thick breading. This is a chicken place and the chicken inside is just ok. The sauce is bland and heavy on the mayo. this place is absolutely ridiculous. I would not waste your time. I would take Chick-fil-A over this place any day. I have sat in for a half an hour and have not even received my meal. It's double the price of Chick-fil-A and the food is not even that great. We were not apologize to for the wait or offered anything for the delay. This place is absolutely awful.

Good food, obnoxious wait when busy. Legit 45 mins for 2 pieces of chicken when busy. They will also process to go orders for people not in the restaurant ahead of customers dining in and actively waiting. At the end of the day, it's some greasy fried chicken that can be very good but the hype is 10,000% greater than the reality and to wait more than 15 mins for it? Ridiculous.
