TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

We stopped by after a concert at The Paramount last night. I’ve never had DHC before but was excited to try and it did not disappoint!! We got the Hot Sliders and Mac n cheese. It was SO GOOD. The service was so friendly even though it was close to 11pm and closing time. A++++
Pretty good. I ordered a tender to try it. ( hot flavor ) The extra sauce, pickles, bread were good.
I got a free slider on Drakes Birthday… thank you Drake. I ordered a reaper (the spiciest level) and it was not that spicy. It was so amazing and delicious though. This place is tied with my other favorite fried chicken place: Love Burn in south SF. For anyone who is afraid of the reaper, trust me it’s not spicy. Love Burn has spicier chicken at level 2 (first date) than the reaper. Dave’s Hot Chicken and their slaw is so so so good. Amazing chicken. Very great chicken and seasonings. LOVE ITTTTT
A word of warning: Step inside Dave’s Hot Chicken at your own risk. Don’t blame me if you get addicted. Because the chicken sliders (and you must get two at the very least) and the fries are just…(my eyes just rolled to the back of my head). If you’re planning on getting take out (which I do all the time), just pop both the chicken and the fries in your air fryer for about five minutes. Eat somewhere comfortable because this is food that you must enjoy with every bite.
For a fast food joint, it hits. The sliders were juicy and crispy. However, it was not as hot as I would've liked. Fries were crispy and nicely seasoned. Street parking only and no lot though. Only a moderate amount of seating so maybe it's better for take out. I'd take this over national chains.
