TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

I really was impressed with the quality and taste of the food. Chicken was tender, moist and full of flavor. When I informed the employee that I have never tried or ate at Dave’s Hot Chicken, she enthusiastically shared menu ideas and descriptions. I've been a bit hesitant to go check this place out due to the seemingly mixed reviews but I had a pretty good experience after finally going for a doordash takeout order. The food was great, service was solid, and the atmosphere was fine. We ordered the lite mild and hot chicken sliders and they were amazing. The chicken was crispy and juicy. Fantastic spot. I’ve been here several times and equally impressed every time I visit. The sliders are incredible, the chicken is super juicy and tender and the spice is fantastic. I always get the spice level as Hot which is a fantastic amount of heat and flavor. (I’ve been tempted to try extra hot, maybe next time) Service is always quick and friendly. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a hot chicken spot.
I love Dave’s hot chicken, it’s always juicy and so delicious. You cannot go wrong with any of the things on the menu. Not only that but the drinks are so yummy and refreshing. I cannot stop talking about Dave’s and my friends think it’s a problem. Honestly they might be putting crack in there the way I keep ordering it.
Stopped by after hearing about daves from some friends. It was pretty busy, but the line moved fast. I ordered the 2 sliders with fries and a orange slush. The food came out quick, was very fresh, hot and tasted amazing. It definitely lived up to the reviews ive heard. I would highly recommend. Only slight downfall is the price.
