Great chicken and is really hot!! We got Mild and hot. Mild was very flavorful. Hot was really hot and great tasting. Homemade pickles are a home run. Fries are killer too! Not sure if I would try reaper yet. The one downer was the ice machine was broken and would've helped with the heat.

Glad we finally have a Dave's hot chicken in Buffalo! It's been a long wait but it was worth it. The restaurant was very clean, staff was all very friendly, food came out hot and fresh after just a short wait and met all expectations. I tried the #3 which is a slider, a tender and fries. I got the slider medium (I figured the topping would mellow out if there was too much heat) and the tender mild. I was able to enjoy Dave's Hot Chicken during their Friends and Family event. The chicken was amazingly juicy. I had medium spice and it had a pleasant kick to it. Sliders were delicious. Seating area was very clean. Very friendly staff, and awesome decor.

I went here absolutely excited to try their hot chicken because I love hot stuff! I am good to eat extra hot wings and such but man oh man I don't know if they accidentally put the reaper chicken in my box that said "hot" but it was SO HOT. Painful. I couldn't even finish it after one big bite. This made me so mad since it was $15. French fries were amazing. Very disappointed though. My brother got the mild and it was delicious. But the "hot" chicken had me shaking and chugging milk. AND I LOVE HOT STUFF.... So annoying. M... read more

5/5 for this new place and I can't wait to come back again to try some new flavors! This place just opened so a few things weren't up and running (no ice and no ice cream) but the wonderful staff made up for any broken machines. They were so friendly, they opened the door for us, cleaned up dishes and even asked us how everything was and if we needed things. Super awesome! As far as the food - it was top notch. Glad I made it a couple of days after they opened and just prior to noon on a Sunday, so the line was short and the wait was relatively quick; maybe 10-15 minutes tops. The chicken tenders were great and the spicy level on each of the tenders I tried were increasingly hot. I sampled the Lite Mild, Medium, Hot and Extra hot and as much of a spice person as I am, I don't see myself signing a waiver to get the reaper tenders. The owner came out welcoming everyone for coming out and trying the place . They're very welcoming! Much better than the qdoba that was here and then vacant for years! Very uplifting environment plenty of seating . The hot chicken was fantastic! Great to have a good chicken place nearby. I got the number 3 with extra fry's! One tender and a slider . Check this place out!

Alhamdulillah that we finally have a Dave's in Buffalo. I was lucky enough to be there opening day (yesterday) and stood in a line in the rain because was so stoked. Not all hot chicken places are the same and Dave's dry rub is unique. I usually order hot and may attempt extra hot next time but no higher. I think this spot is going to be busy all the time, which is exciting, and like the other Yelpers have written, the flavor is great and the fries are also surprising good. Add the extra pickles to reduce the heat :)

First time trying Dave's Hot Chicken and it was delicious! The chicken was juicy and the dry rub had great flavor. The fries had a good seasoning on them and were perfectly crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. I preferred the chicken tenders over the sliders. Tried the mild spice level this time around but I could probably go up to medium next time. It was very clean in the restaurant (but they did just open today). The staff was very friendly and helpful.
