Bruising is dwindling. Still have A LOT of mucus and swelling inside my nose. I wonder when I will be in the clear of having any complications. All I want is for my nose to heal properly and not have any complications like collapse, calluses, or other weird stuff that I shouldn’t be thinking about. Does anyone know when most complications arise?

My anxiety is high from the discomfort of not being able to breathe 100 % and also having ear, nose, and throat pain. I made an appointment with a local ENT. I feel like i have dried up crap stuck deep inside my nose. Maybe the ENT can suck it out? Not loving my nostrils. Wish I could tally to Dr.G face to face so he could ease my mind.

i guess if you compare be prior nose, there is an improvement.. All I can do is pray that I heal well. Nothing else.

My surgery date was on May 30 of this year and my 2 month post-op appointment is coming up! If I have one piece of advice it is to not obsess over your new nose for the first month, this is when most of the changes occur and if immediately post cast removal you feel unsure, it WILL get better!

I'm so happy! I understand it's still very swollen but it is 100000x better than my previous nose! (Video for your pleasure ^_^) Tip is very swollen yet, and he didn't remember if I had thick or thin skin, lol. Made sure to remind me he does lots of nose jobs so he couldn't even remember what my nose looked like before. I showed him pictures and he was like WOW BIG DIFFERENCE ALREADY! Yes. Yes it is. I'm very much in love with it!!! Especially my adorable nostrils!!!!

I finally got some pretty decent sleep last night, and woke up feeling much better. I'm able to space out my pain meds now and take 1 every 6 hours with my antibiotic instead of every 4 hours. So that's an improvement. I did get a refill today also, which is good because they won't be open tomorrow and I would've run out. My leakage is mostly snot now, with only a little blood in it, and I'm coughing up blood clots - so that's a good sign I'm healing. Haven't pooped yet, so I've been drinking date smoothies and sticking to a... read more

I received a phone call from his receptionist earlier to confirm my pre-op appointment. My surgery is in exactly 1 week. The procedures I am having done are: rhinoplasty, chin augmentation, and mandibular injections (for a more defined jawline). I may have him put fillers in my smile lines and lips as well, but we will see. I definitely wanted more things done, but I will wait and see how this turn out! I need to recover from one surgery at a time. I do have a few aesthetic issues with my nose, however no functionality issue... read more

Pain pills say to take 1-2 every 4-6 hours, I'm keeping it to 1 every 4 hours. Tried going longer but the pain is really, really bad. I'd take more but I've been trying to ration, plus I don't need to develop a tolerance and I still haven't pooped yet. I'm sure they'll prescribe me more if I need it, though. My husband reminded me as to why why I'm hurting so bad - I had a rhinoplasty, septoplasty, turbinate reduction, and nasal valve repair with cartilage grafts, along with a chin augmentation. I like to think I have a pret... read more

Busy day yesterday - went to the grand central market for bfast, the automobile museum (it's so dry in there, I drank a whole bottle of water and my throat was still soooooo dry), relaxed at Huntington dog beach (this was the best!), and then the watertable restaurant in the Hyatt after for some bone marrow and Chilean sea bass (sooooo delicious). My first actual meal since surgery. I've been sticking to a liquid diet so if I get nausea, I don't have to "blow chunks". My cast removal isn't until 330 so we are headed to Santa... read more
