Idk if this much swelling is normal, lol, but it is what it is. I'm not getting much sleep, so it could be affecting my recovery. I'm not a mouth breather by nature, so I am having a very difficult time despite my preparedness. I am using a humidifier 24/7, I have oracoat xylimelt lozenges, biotene dry mouth moisturizer, and drinking plenty of fluids but my mouth just doesn't like a steady flow of air through it. I am accepting it will get worse before it gets better, and am excited to have better breathing once the swelling... read more

Pre-op went well, you can tell he's a busy guy though - waited around for quite some time and the office was decently full. I'm not sure if this is typical or not, but it is what it is. Appointment was at 4:30 and I don't think I left until about a quarter after 6. He took pictures and went over with me what I am getting done. He asked me if I wanted the injections done today so we can adjust if need be, instead of getting it done under anesthesia and not knowing what it looks like due to swelling. I decided that was a good ... read more

This morning went for surgery at 5 am with Dr. Grigoryants at Glendale Advenist Medical Center. I was so nervous, but out of any hospital I’ve ever been to this one had the nicest and most caring staff I ever met in my life. They really helped me relax and feel so much better. I met with Dr. Grigoryants to recap what we were doing then they prepped me and took me back to surgery. I don’t remember anything until I woke up around 11AM. I felt like my nose was burning and breasts ached, but it wasn’t unbearable or anything. Ove... read more

Hey guys! I am currently 6 days pre-op for rhinoplasty and breast augmentation happening at the same time! I’ve wanted my nose done since I was about 9 so I’m confident this is a good decision. I went to several doctors for consultations and found Dr. G on Instagram around beginning of this year. I really liked the look of his work, especially since he can do more than one style depending on what different people want and what face they have, which I think is important when I’ve seen some doctors do a “one style nose” for al... read more

Hey guys! I have nose surgery scheduled with Dr. G in 3 weeks. I’ve been wanting to do this for over a decade so I’m so excited! Since I’m traveling to LA for surgery I’m going to be doing this all by myself, which is fine, I’m just nervous about making sure I’m totally prepared for recovery week... so I’m really hoping to get some advice from anyone who’s already been through this: 1. What are your best recovery tips? What things are a must to have during that first week? What kinds of foods should I stock up on beforehand ... read more

just got my cast taken off and besides the fact that i hardly ever saw the doctor everything went well. upon removing the cast i am SO worried about this huge swollen area on the top of my nose it was NEVER like this before. i’m hoping & praying it is just swelling/fluid like he told me but hearing it could take 3-6 months to go away is devastating! i’m so embarrassed i don’t even want to leave my house. am i being dramatic for 6 days post op or idk. i also need to push HARD on the bridge of my nose 4 times a day for 10 seco... read more

I'm not sure what to rate. I'm just beginning my journey. I have this memory when I was 20 yrs old of these girls making fun of my nose and ever since it's made me feel self-conscious. Fast forward 15 years and my nose is something that I focus on. I don't have a big nose or a bump, I'm more concerned about narrowing my bridge and bringing in my nostrils and, I don't like how wide my nose gets when I smile. I've met with several Drs and they have all said I would benefit from rhinoplasty. One Doctor did morphed photos and it... read more

Hey guys!! I’m planning to get my rhinoplasty this April with Dr G. I’m from out of state (NY). So far I did the online consult but what happens the day before the surgery like how does Dr G prepare to do surgery on our noses if he has not physically seen me yet or won’t if I decide to do it with him which would be April. Any advice would be really appreciated!
