Stayed here several times before, checkin was amazing,so courteous. Opted for a river view this time, worth the upgrade, watching the barges work is unique.

Housekeeping does a great job with what they have. Hotel smelled great and appeared clean. Rooms were slightly run down. Outlets behind wall mounted headboard didn’t work consistently. Lamp shades broken. Curtains don’t close all the way. Coffee not replenished on day 2. Use of wall mounted AC/heat unit rather than HVAC system will deter my next visit. Great place to stay for an event in St. Louis. However, management is falling asleep at the wheel. I’ve noticed over the years the hotel and casino are declining. The area smelled like skunk weed outside and in the lobby. The elevator had a control panel loose. The carpet in the room looks disgusting. The carpet in the casino looks like crap. It looks like the original carpet. Management needs to invest resources into cleaning and updating the facilities. In all it’s beginning to look like most of East St. Louis.

We love staying here because of the location and price. The rooms are clean and pretty modern but the TVs are disproportionately small....kind of weird. Overall not a bad place to stay considering proximity of the metro and the recently renovated casino and restaurant.
