SHORT receipts Only. A Receipt scanner that will not allow you to scan a receipt longer than 14" without actually cutting your receipt?! I previously used the DSmobile 600, It also was very limited for the length it would scan, but it would scan as much as it could and save that image, than you were able to just fold the receipt and continue as "page 2" for your scan. Usually lenders want certain packages which require multi-page docs and send them via email. Like many, I have cloud storage with the main providers (dropbox, onedrive, box, google drive, etc). Save your money Used 2 times and broke. For the price it should have lasted longer. Thankfully was still within 30 days of purchase so it was returned.
Tried Them All & This One Won & Then Lost... 4/15/19: Flash to today. Bitter disappointment. Spent the past years fighting a loose USB port. That port alone has soured me on my purchase. Fighting today just to get it to take a charge long enough to scan important papers. This is not what should be. Save Your Money I could not get the software to work on either a mac or pc. Unit is cumbersome to use. Replaced it with a Fujitsu 1300i which is waaaay better.
It's A Decent Scanner BUT... Useless without the battery... Actually, when it works, it is a very nice product, that's the second I bought. However, this time the battery didn't came and therefore I cannot use it at all... I sent a message through the Brother website, but got no answer. I hope this time I will get the attention from Brother and the battery I need...
Disappointed in the Software I really had high hopes for this scanner. I bought it in lieu of the Neat portable scanner. As far as the hardware goes, it scanned in very well and had a slide so that the receipts would scan in straight. Unfortunately, the software was requiring me to "mark" all the pertinent information I wanted to search by, e.g. store name, purchase date, amount, tax, etc. This practically rendered it useless for my use.
Help.. defective I plugged it in, got re-chargeable battery in, I read instructions. Green light should be on while it is charging, but when i press power button on, green light comes on just for a second and turns off, no charging. This is a first time I get defective item. :(
