Does Not Work w/ Phones The app does not work. It requires a username and password for your account without giving you the option to actually create an account. I have resorted to having to use an SD card to get my scans which is just one more extra step I didn't want to have to take.
Worked for a few months.... It worked for about 3-4 months but then it stopped scanning multi-page pdfs. Searched everything in the manual but to no avail. Now I just have a $150 paperweight....
This scanner stinks NO computer recognizes this scanner, even when connected via USB. I have downloaded the software, tried to connect via Wi-Fi. but it is a defective product.
Terrible Scanner I have had nothing but problems from day one with this terrible scanner. I purchased it to make it easier to do my taxes and to scan receipts. It has mad the whole process 10 times more difficult. The 920 worked a couple of times intermittently and then not at all. The feeder does not feed when it is plugged into my mac and even when it's not plugged into my computer. Skewing and mangling The software for iPhone/iPad to connect with this scanner is primitive and slow. Paper feeding is pretty bad because the traction rollers seem to pull paper more quickly on the right hand side and the two US Letter sized sheets that I scanned as a test also got mangled on the left side, folding into an accordion. When paper was not damaged, it still skewed and the result image was not rotated or cropped to adjust, unlike how my higher end scanner handles occasional skewing. Battery LIFE is poor. ALSO if battery is bad unit wont work plugged into USB Battery LIFE is poor. Only lasted 4 months. And you can only buy battery from Brother. ALSO if battery is bad unit wont work plugged even though plugged into USB. So $60 for a battery that lasts 4 months is ridiculous especially when scanner won't work from just the power supply that charges the battery. POOR DESIGN!!!
I wish I could give it negative stars I purchased this product to assist with scanning in my home office and I purchased it specifically b/c it could scan wirelessly. I read the reviews on Amazon to make sure I picked out a scanner that would fit my needs and still be mindful of my budget as a start up small business. Defective - Brand New Piece of Non-working 2013 Technology Defective straight out of the box. Brand new model, not refurbished. Lights and display turn on, unit freezes, stays on for between five seconds and a few minutes. Will not scan most of the time, because it shuts down soon after the power button is pressed. I succeeded in making one scan - just one - to the SD card. I actually got it to stay on long enough to open the WIFI transmitter, but it shut itself down every time. Mac Users STAY AWAY! Bought this last minute to do some scanning work. Works great as battery operated, but my Macbook pro won't recognize it, which limits its usefulness to the extreme. Tried everything, repairing disk permissions, updating software, different drivers, nothing would work. Customer service doesn't work on the weekends, so the thing is basically garbage. Returning it today. MAKE THINGS MAC COMPATIBLE!
