Get directionsFollowing an accident in November 2018 I was transferred from hospital to Eccleshare court. Was my experience at Eccleshare court positive? Yes, it was. I was treated with kindness and encouragement, oh and I must add laughter (laughter is a great healer!). I am at home now and I look back on my time at Eccleshare Court. I remember wonderful people doing a wonderful job. Would I recommend Eccleshare Court? Of course, I would!
We found Eccleshare Court Care Home after being desperately disappointed by the standard of care received at two other care homes locally. From the very first introduction, my mother and I were made to feel very welcome, the caring staff got to know my mother quickly as an individual and always work tirelessly to meet her needs. My mother is happy and well cared for, she always looks content and is occupied with activities or resources appropriate for her Alzheimer's disease. We are relieved to have found a care home that tr... read more
I was at Eccleshare House for nearly six weeks. The way I have been looked after has been exemplary. The care workers and nurses are kind, considerate and very helpful.
Very happy with the accommodation. However, the wet room is very cold indeed (February). A grab bar vertical would be very helpful placed to the left of the shower control giving a great sense of security. A suckered basket above shower control would be extremely useful for shampoo/shower gel/sponges/cloths and some hooks for towels/dressing gowns etc on the back of the door are an essential requirement.
My husband went into Eccleshare Court in May 2015 after being in the stroke unit at the local hospital for two months. He was always treated with care and dignity until his death in December 2019. As well as my husband's care, the staff were very friendly and helpful and always made me and the family very welcome.
My Aunt has been a resident at Eccleshare Court for over 7 years. The home today is totally different from what it was over 2 years ago; appointing a new care home manager that is passionate, energetic and dedicated to caring for residents and the staff was an instrumental factor in this change. The care home staff work very very hard to ensure the best possible care is given to residents and it is lovely to see continuity of care being given by the same people, as this is really important to residents. The home is spotlessl... read more
I was sent to Eccleshare Court after a stroke for respite care and at that time I was pretty much immobile. The lovely room and friendly, caring staff made me feel very welcome and I felt that I was leaving many good friends behind when I left for home. It was my birthday on the day after I arrived and catering staff rustled up a birthday cake, which was a very nice gesture.
Eccleshare Court is a lovely place. All the staff are so friendly and caring. They all help each other to give the residents the best possible care. My mother in law was there for respite care and she was encouraged to join in with activities. Something that she wouldn't normally do. She thoroughly enjoyed her stay there and tells everyone she wants to be a resident there when the time comes.
The care my mother received while a resident at Eccleshare Court was excellent. She had a complex end of life condition and the support, help and care she received right up to death was appropriate and sensitive. My mum was treated as an individual and with dignity. Thank you.
