STAY AWAY from this place. Health South lets anyone call in and then take charge of a patient without asking or getting verification, any faxed information or even having the person come in to talk with them. Health South was told by the patients POA by phone and in person that the person taking over was non-standing to the patient. This was done a week before the ill-fated night transfer. My Dad has been to this rehab about 7 times in the last ten years. The last stay he started having psychiatric issues and the British Hag that's the head caseworker is a selfish person. First off I got reprimanded because my Father swear at a nurse and I was asked to "speak" to him? How can I do that if his medication is off and he has dementia? It was the Dark skin nurse and she is a hag as well. Upon my request I asked he be transferred to his psychiatric facility they did and upon transfer lost his wheelchair and also Enc... read more

Hands down the worst example of health care service in metropolitan Las Vegas. Total incompetence from top to bottom with a special shout out to the nurses desk. I promise if you stay here you will be taking your life in your hands. This is not a joke or an over the top review. I strongly advise passing this facility by so much so that I was compelled to write this warning. Your welcome.

My dad passed away in October of 2013 less than 24 hours after being released from Heath South on Valley View. I had written a letter to the Health South management team a few months after he passed. Here we are a year and a half later and they are just now calling me back. Talk about adding insult to injury. I have returned the call from them and left them a voicemail. I haven't spoken with anyone yet but the annoying phone tag and extreme delay to my letter has finally motivated me to make this public. Hopefully this will... read more

My Dad was admitted here after a stroke. The therpists were lackluster. But the real problem was the doctor. He was MIA. My dad was taken off precautionary seizure meds and no one checked to make sure he wasn't having them. Well, he started to and they escalated. By the time he came home, he had a big seizure and was right back at the hospital at square one. He also had severe blood pressure changes, and this was not addressed except to have a standing order for a med to bring down bp. This would have killed him had ... read more
