I am not sure what kind of work this company does, because I would not hire them for any job. Although he did seem to know what they were doing. Everlast was the first person we called, and wanted to get a couple other quotes. That is when the hard sale started. I told him when he came that I wanted a quote, and I would call him after the other quotes that I already have lined up came. He pushed that we signed up with him right away. I am fairly satisfied with the finished product, but there were many mis-steps along the way. First, the dog door was installed more-or-less in the middle of the door. The door was a one-of-a-kind vintage door with stained glass--it is the original door that goes with my victorian home, built in 1879. This is not the kind of door you want people to cut holes in all over the place. they fixed their mistake, lowered the dog door, patched the hole, but it is horrifying that the mistake would have been made in the first place. Also one of our guys did a mistake and we fixed it of course at no charge. All and all this job was challenging and very complicated and i'm happy you fairly satisfied.
Everlast Construction did not show up on the date of the appointment. I had to call to re-schedule the following day. The inspection of the foundation revealed no structural issuesbut, there may be evidence of a mold problem. The inspector was very professional and polite. Inspected foundation of the building.
My experience with Everlast was frustrating. Since many of the Angie's list reviewers mentioned how happy they were with Ari's work, I requested that Ari come to give an estimate for our master bath remodel. Although the company's secretary said she would send Ari, in fact it was Jeff who came to the appointment. This was annoying because I felt like my request didn't matter to the company. I needed about $2,000 in cabinets, so I ordered the deal coupon for 1/2 off cabinets up to $2,000. When the contractor came over, he told me that the minimum purchase was $6,000. I said, that wasn't the deal, and nowhere could he show me in writing that that was the case. He said "we would work something out." I'm sure they meant it, but I just can't get the bad taste out of my mouth that the deal I bought wasn't what they they were offering. I felt bait & switched. .
