unknown We had them do an update of our bathroom. Overall the bathroom came out pretty good and we are happy with it, but it seemed like a battle to get there. For the most part the problems seemed to be communication issues. They pushed real hard to get us to sign the contract, really before we were ready to get going, and had a firm idea of what we wanted. There were a few details that we were expecting, but were not spelled out specifically. They insisted these would have to pay what seemed like a lot more money for. At t... read more

unknown They came out for an estimate promptly and professionally. They sent the estimate to the wrong email which they misstyped. I had to follow up and found the price was 4 times what I expected.

Business response:

Hello [Member Name Removed], you contact us to do very small work for you, witch not even our minimum, because you found us here we decided to send someone and give you the best service that we possibly could give you. what you wanted to do was; "looking to have fridge installed. needs electrical ran to location and cabinets removed to make room" This type of job is for Handyman and not contractor the price seems high because you wanted contractor to do the job for you, i am sorry the price was high but this type of work we ... read more

unknown Detached 1 car carport. Delayed 2 times. Didn't follow city inspectors advice to modify the structure. They promised to do the job complying to code requirements and price includes everything. But asking for more when city requested the modification. Got massively ripped off because the knew I was under time pressure. This job coulb be normally done for $12,000!!! Don't go to them unless you can afford to waste your money!

Business response:

Hello, thank you for your feedback, When we come to build it you already had the plans approve from city and permit, so we didn't really involve in the planning and we came to build what you provided. After city check and sign we just follow the plans, they ask to change few things and we did at no charge. We did pass all inspection and the work is up to code and industry standards. I am more then willing to talk with you and see if there is anything i can do to help you.

unknown We had many issues with this project, primarily around the quality of work. There were more than one instance where re-work had to be redone. My new floor still makes cracking noises when I walk on it (tile floor). I am not sure my shower was sealed correctly as I see small cracks where water can get it. Bullnose pieces were not used on the edges of the shower/wall so it just ends abruptly. The niche in the shower is not cut out with straight lines. Have to look but you will notice that it is somewhat lopsided. Showe... read more

The main reason I hired them was to have my subfloor in my bathroom fixed. I had a contractor in my condo a few years ago and he removed my concrete subfloor. I hired everlast because they do pouring of concrete. When their person arrived at my place, he immediately said that I would need to redo the vanity because they need to remove it to get under it. I did not understand why, but assumed that because they would be pouring concrete they needed the space above to be clear. While he was at my place, he took the liberty to ... read more

unknown Remodel living room, guest bedroom and closet to powder room conversion. |They are over priced because they are project managers & they contract the work out to contractors who do the work. Seemed like a good business model until I managed every portion of the project myself and wanted to just give direction to the contractor doing the actual work. It's an unnecessary layer that adds cost to the job. Would not recommend.

unknown 6 weeks over schedule on a quoted 2-2.5 week (~$20k) project, contractor refused to honor terms of contract, contractor did not seem to understand city code and permitting requirements. Contractor indicated I required an additional ~$14k worth of work per city inspector to pass inspection, whom I called and who told me this was not the case. I have had several problems requiring fixing since this project completed and contractor refused to honor warranty. One day a neighbor called me to inform me that the door fro... read more

Business response:

Hello [Member name removed], we gave you great price and great service. The issues that arose with the city were not related to our work. It was related to your property and was out of our control. The city inspector recommended that the entire electrical system within the apartment needed to be re-wired and panel upgrade. In order to pass inspection, the city required an upgrade to the panel which required additional work that was not in our contract. The additional cost requested from you was to re-wire the apartment and u... read more

I was called by Everlast Construction after apparently filling out a form online. I invited them in to give an estimate, but I shouldn't have. It should have been a huge red flag when they asked if my husband was going to be there. He doesn't have time. Anyway, Alex came to the door and he kept asking about my husband, which I found very offensive. He kept trying to tell me how expensive everything was going to be. When I told him we were on a budget, he told me they do everything high end and that we were looking at well ov... read more

We needed a new roof to replace our 20+ yr oldtar and gravel flat roof. We'd wanted to get it done in the summer, but circumstances just wouldn't allow it, which, unfortunately, put us in with the last-minute crowd racing against the oncomingEl Nino clock. I spent over two hours on the phone calling around looking for places that could even come give us a quote. I had very little luck, but did eventually find three. The first place showed up and THEN told us they didn't do flat roofs (perhaps you could have asked me what kin... read more
