I give 5 stars to the staff on-site who are incredibly helpful and personable both on the phone and if you need assistance on the property. I give 3 stars however during both of my first 2 visits, there were elevators out of service and then it was very confusing when being re-directed to another building yet I then didn't have the proper codes, etc. We sorted it out but it certainly was an extra 25+ mins each time. It does feel secure and safe.
Extra space seems like a real good storage place

The location has been my go to when I’ve needed a lil extra storage . Facility is clean, safe & staff are very helpful....
Move in was somewhat easy. For second floor units you have to use a lift, the lifts are bit finicky and hard to close, so this takes some time to sort out. other than that, move in was good, and I appreciated the dollies and late access hours.

If you are near San Leandro, California, this is an ideal storage company. I checked many other storage companies, prior to choosing Extra Space Storage. The employees are professional, courteous, knowledgeable and friendly. The San Leandro Police enter the complex and check for any suspicious activity.
My experience with Mr Rob @ 2000 Doolittle Dr. San Leandro was awesome. He is a great professional with a great customer service relationship.
