Went in with my mother to help her find the right storage unit and the staff were very helpful especially Samantha, who was very patient and full of energy.

JUST BEFORE CHRISTMAS LAST YEAR, EXTRA SPACE ALLOWED BURGLARS TO STAY IN MY UNIT FOR ALMOST 5 HOURS - THEY FILLED A TRUCK WAITING OUTSIDE THE BACK DOOR AND DROVE AWAY WITH OVER $60,000 OF MY FAMILY'S BELONGINGS - THE BURGLARS TOOK ALL MY WORK TOOLS AND EVEN MY PARENTS ASHES. THE MGR OF E.S. CALLED POLICE 9 HOURS AFTER THE BREAK IN!!! EXTRA SPACE DID NOTHING FOR US - EVEN BLAMING US FOR THE ROBBERY! PLEASE CONSIDER USING ANOTHER STORAGE FACILITY THAT CARES FOR THEIR CUSTOMERS.

Extra Space Storage is a scam - after a couple months they jacked up my price from $256 to $336!!! The notice was hidden inside a random change of address form I almost threw out as junk mail. The storage unit is a dirty, shabby, flimsy tin space with spiders and insulation hanging from the ceiling. No climate control - like storing outdoors. No lighting or electricity access. Cold, dark, and damp - all will be moldy soon if I don’t get out. Oh, and the rate increase letter said the price reflected “market conditions.” ... read more

No matter when your bill is due you get a late fee on the 29th. It's usually 70.00. I think they have been over charging me but they do not show an itemized payment record. You can't see it or print it. They do liens and auctions. Owned by a huge money grubbing investment firm EXR

I am so glad to be gone! My storage unit flooded. Several boxes of books and a few irreplacable items destroyed. They told me I had to haul my moldy belongings out myself and dispose of them elsewhere. I assumed they would repair the leak - it was clear that the water ran into my unit from another unit. I was dead wrong. A month later, my unit flooded again. I had taken steps to protect things, but two more boxes were destroyed, including things I cannot replace. I was devastated.
