This place is awesome! We came here on the suggestion of the Wailuku Inn because they don't have luggage storage at their inn. For about $25 for a day, we rented a small locker unit to store our two medium suitcases and 2 carry on bags on the day we were leaving Maui. It's right outside the airport so we could conveniently drop off our luggage for the day while we continued enjoying the island without having to worry about leaving our luggage in our open air jeep.

This place is the ABSOLUTE WORST. I have burglaries and units broken into literally every week. They change the rates without notice and bill me twice this month. I'm getting all my stuff out of there and going somewhere else.. there's no on scene security. There's no cameras in the hallways for the rate increase. You think they would be up the security considering how many units have been broken into. DO NOT RENT HERE

Day 138+ without functioning climate control at Extra Space Storage Maui. Spoke with managers, district management, and customer service for nearly an hour today. Still no repair timeline, no retroactive adjustment, and no real resolution while customers continue paying premium "climate-controlled" rates.

I've been paying for a climate-controlled unit since December 20, and as of today (May 4), the air conditioning is still not working -- over 4 months without the core service being provided. I understand the recent storm impacted operations, but this issue started well before that and has never been resolved. Anyone thinking of renting here should be aware that there are no cameras within the buildings, just the outside. There have been break ins at the facility, no surprise because people have seen drink containers and food items in the hallways - maybe someone is living there? If you plan to rent, you may want to get two heavy duty locks and NOT depend on the ones the office sells. Staff is nice and friendly so no problem there.

While the facility is nice and clean, and the workers are nice, the place is NOT SAFE. They do not have cameras except near the entrance and exit, and there have been a number of break-ins and robberies of units. When the police came to investigate the break-in of our unit, it was the SECOND report that same DAY! They have not done anything to stop these break-ins either...and they don't, of course, warn you about it.

After barely a month in storing my stuff there I was warned by family and friends that these guys raise their rates monthly. I should've listened. After my 1st month in my unit had an attempted burglary someone broke my lock off and jammed the lever luckily they couldn't get in. The only positive is the manager Travis trying to make things right by moving me to a different unit however the company decided to raise every one's rates $60 more including mines. They have an employee that travels inter island for work who could attempt to practice more courtesy and good manners. Cutting people off in line while representing your company is not good appearances. Otherwise, used this unit in Kahului and it's okay. The layout isn't great when it's busy, especially if you are using a larger vehicle to move goods in and out.

When I've joined it looked great. Then, as soon as i left the island, they slapped me with a 25% MONTHLY FEES INCREASE (after joining with a special offer) saying it was a market adjustment. What a joke. After just 4 months from joining that's not an adjustment. That's MISLEADING ADVERTISEMENT. And of course they won't bother even reply to my questions.
