Let me preface this by saying I've rented from Extra Space before. I don't have any issues with Extra Space as a company. I have an issue with Bernadette and her attitude. Before I had even rented the unit, she was very rude to me over the phone. Talking over me when I tried to ask questions. She has a ghetto attitude and just made the whole process much more difficult than it needed to be. This woman should not be in customer service. This review is for customer service not for the space itself. The storage space look very clean and even though I ended renting the unit I have to share my experience dealing with Bernadette. First, she looked like she was having those really bad days, she answered the phone and was very mean with the people on the phone, so that made me realize it was not personal. I've never made a bad review of anywhere before but this place is just awful. The RUDEST staff I have ever encountered before in my life. There is literally ONE friendly employee. If I could give 0 stars I would. So when we moved our stuff in we were given zero information about the place and rushed through contact singing (which you don't even sign you just click) every time we tried to stop and read it we were told to just sign. Unfriendly and unhelpful staff member this time around. She didn't really listen to me, advertised deals, including the massive banner on the side of the building suddenly didn't apply. It seemed a shifty way to deal with clients. Overall a Disappointing experience and I took my business elsewhere.

They raise their prices every 6 to 9 months, banking on the fact that you won't relocate your items to another company. They start it off with a gentle $10/month increase. Then bump it to $20/month increase on top of that. This month I'm getting a higher bill for an extra $40/month. I'm now paying more than double the price that I had a few years ago. I'll be moving everything out of there immediately. BE WARNED. TERRIBLE BUSINESS ETHICS.

I didn't have any prblems with the facility or staff. That is until I no longer needed my storage unit. I called on a Thursday to cancel my unit unfortunately, my husband forgot to take the lock off the unit when we emptied the unit. I called the next day the man said he wouldn't be able to cancel my unit until i removed lock which i did that following Saturday. Unfortunately i couldnt reach them until Tuesday. They had just withdrawn my monthly payment. Turns out they wont give me my refund for the entire month i didnt need... read more

I don't make a habit of writing bad yelp reviews, but I feel like the experience I had at this facility might actually help others. I had reserved a unit online which was confirmed by phone by store manager Bernadette Casas. When I arrived the very next day to complete the paperwork, I was "greeted" by Bernadette who stated that "no one told me" that a unit had been reserved. BE CAREFUL! The parent company raises rates after the initial 4-5 months. No exceptions. Then they raise rates every 6 to 9 months for the entirety of the contract. They bank on the fact that you will pay the increases, instead of moving all your stuff to a new place.

The lady who works in the evening is the rudest most awful customer service person you will talk to. Their elevators are always broken and their staff is extremely rude. If your are looking for storage needs I recommend you do not go here. They also raise the rent 2 months after got my storage. If you already a customer, sorry and speak to the agent in the morning for your concerns.
