My low rate (so I thought) has climb almost 50% since I moved into just over a year ago. The first manager was great but any one since has made me regret I ever moved my things into this location. They make you buy insurance through them ( what a scam). My last storage unit did not raise the fees a penny in the 10 years I was with them. Great place to rent from if you have nothing better to do with your hard earnings.
Wow! I am completely caught off guard and really upset. I just moved into this storage location three months ago. Now I get a post card in the mail that they are raising my month charge 13.8%..... what the heck?! Not a happy camper. Only one star for the bait and switch. If you don't mind getting your storage rent raised after you move in, then this place is for you.
beware. they will increase your rates approx every 2-3 months! they claim they have no idea when the rates are increased - liars. they do!! corporate justifies their rate increases by saying they never p-r-o-m-i-s-e-d you they wouldn't increase their rates as they do - and saying- "we' didn't promise you anything" !!! how do you like that potential storage seekers?! - looking for a reliable storage facility thats looking to provide you with great caring customer service and wants loyal customers - extra storage space isn't... read more
We were very disappointed. JOSE promised us a lower rate with a veterans discount. Marlene wouldn't honor it. There were 3 of us waiting at 0930 for the business to open. There was only one person to help all of us. We had to wait an hour with no compensation no apologies. After we finally got our keys we discovered homeless people changing clothes in the units. Stay away this place is the pits they lie to you and they are very unprofessional.
Horrible customer service. Helping a close friend move her household into a 3rd story unit with hired movers on a Sunday. My friend is super careful about making sure everything goes smoothly, so she had gone over all the codes and how to access buildings, elevators, etc. with the facility manager the week prior. When we arrived today the elevator on our end of the building had a large sign indicating it was out of order and to use the elevator at the other in the building. These people are such Liars they told me one thing actually promised and then 2 days later they completely went back on their word it's not easy and their prices are sky-high and they're Liars I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy
WHAT A NIGHTMARE!!! HORRIBLE!! This place was the alternative I was given when "SpareFoot" (the online booking company...who actually were pretty nice) reserved a "5x10' storage space" at the Construction Circle, Irvine location for me... but I found out by speaking directly to that site's manager that the location that I booked less than 24 hrs earlier was not designed for storing furniture, but only boxes and similar as she said the hallways there were extremely narrow & wouldn't be unable to navigate larger items, like fu... read more
My personal experience w/ExtraSpace has not been so great. Here is a brief summary of what I've experienced and if it helps you avoid an unexpected costly mistake I've experienced I will be happy I posted this review. I am a current long term tenant and just received another rent increase. They give me one every 6 months. When I called the site to question the increase I found out the real reason behind there motives. They are currently evicting over 400 tenants because they plan to do construction at the site to bulid more units. These tenants have to move out because there are no more empty units to put them at the current facility.
