This business does not value repeat or long term customers. If you need ongoing storage don't rent from them. They count due dates wrong and denied me access to the entire facility for a new space I paid in full, and another one also paid in full, because they claimed my 3rd storage was 6 days past due when it wasn't!! And they knew about it when I was on the phone buying the new one, but didn't tell me they would do that. They promised me access. this company raised the unit rent from 200 to 300$ in only 4 months after the first month without notification. not reliable I was out of the country and couldn't do anything. be careful with this scam

This place is a scam. I accidently missed a single month payment and they put a lean on my storage as soon as the second month's payment was due. They didn't even wait past the 10 day grace period of paying the bill. The young "manager" argues to me saying that is normal and gave me all kinds of excuses. Thankfully I have a very small storage that is easy to move. She says this is in the lease so be warned that this will happen to you sooner or later.

(El Camino real Irvine) I got storage for more than 2 years and after all they took my 30k goods and sold it on auction for $1500 and they called me before that and I said I am on my way to pay the money and once I arrived they said you should come before 12:00 they are really so mean and stole my goods

I have had a unit at Extra Space Storage at El Camino Real in Irvine, ca for about 7 months now. This morning I went to store some items and as usual, I parked (backed up) by the door of my building, unloaded my items and once I entered my code to open the sliding doors they did not open, I tried to open them several times to no avail. I was looking for a storage when I was moving out of my apartment in July 2021 and found this location. Originally I rated them with 5 stars but yesterday (November 2, 2021) they raised my rate by $40. So it went from $58 to $98 in 4 months. I guess it's only good for very short period of time. I can't really recommend it, but if you need something for couple months, it'll do.
