They kept raising the price. First after 3 months then again after another 3 months. Went from $150 to $170 to over $200. Plus depending on the unit you have, sometimes there are big trucks in the way. Overpriced unfortunately. Should have left sooner.

wonderful staff - but the corporation is souless. two months into my lease they raised the rent from $99/month to $179/month. they said it was an "intro rate" - but never told me it was when i signed the lease. doubling the rent and sending me a note "of course you are free to move out." i hate everything about the owners of extra space storage. this is bait and switch and total bull. chose any other company to find storage!!!!!!! what total pigs the owners of extra space storage are!!!

This is because we are strictly month-to-month leasing. You may see an increase within 3-9 months depending on the market. Just after a few months their rate increased by $77.00. That is a HUGE increase just after a few months of decided to use this location. I had NO IDEA they ran their business practices like this. It's somewhat like a Bait & Switch tactic that shady companies use to get your business before finding out the truth. I called to co firm and the woman who answered its normal practice to raise rent just after a few months. I will be moving soon.

I have been a loyal customer and had my unit for over 1 1/2 years and out of nowhere during a pandemic when I am making less money and costs have increased so much they DOUBLED the cost of my unit. They said I am not eligible for online pricing as I am not a new customer. New customers beware they do not have a cap on increases and frequently do them without notifying you. CROOKS!! DO NOT RENT HERE. I have endured 5 rate increases over the past 18 months (from $293 to $388 - 32%) without any notice!!! I see several others had the same complaint, should have read Yelp before renting there. To make matters worse, their customer service department does not seem to care, nor will they do anything to notify you of rent increases!!!!! TERRIBLE BUSINESS ETHICS !!!!! I went in here since it was near my home in Livermore that I was moving out of. I went here because they offered a bunch of deals on the firsts month rent. I have rented here before from the Pleasanton location and the experience was night and day different. I went in and prices have went up since my last visit which was to be expected as it was over 3 years ago. After being a steady renter at the Northfront Rd. facility for over 9 years, I can only say that if you rent here for even a short length of time, you can expect ongoing, unjustified rent increases about every 9-10 months! After the most recent rent increase (another $35 per month!), I finally decided enough was enough, and I moved my stuff over to Will-Store Super Storage nearby. Stay away from this place. They lure you in with a low rate, then every two months raise your rent by $30-40 a month till you can't afford it to keep your stuff there any more. What a scam.
I've had two issues with this facility. The first is that they insist on charging you for insurance even though most household policies (including mine) cover personal property while in storage. The second is that they spam you about every three weeks. The spam emails have an unsubscribe link, which they simply and repeatedly ignore.
