From start to finish, I had a great experience with storing most of our sons' dorm room items over the summer. Customer service was excellent. Rates were fair. Access was easy. Plan is to do the same next summer.

i certainly wouldn't normally review a storage facility, but over the last two years, Extra storage has been awesome for me to work with. My son attends grad school nearby at Santa Clara and I am out of the area. we had the unexpected ending of his school year during the pandemic and i had to get his room cleared out and stored- Extra was amazing to deal with in very hard and stressful times, from long distance and then again year two in unusual circumstances. What a peasant experience. I've never rented storage before and Josh made it all very easy and simple. I had a scheduled a visit to see the storage space itself because I wasn't quite sure if a 10X10 would work, and upon arrival the place was clean and inviting. Josh met me at the entrance and completely accommodated my request to see the space and take a short video/pics. The fact he went above and beyond to help me secure the last unit is invaluable. Many of the negative reviews are unfounded. Josh one of the managers here answered my questions thoroughly and fairly including ones about rent increases. The contract holds your rate for 5 months and then will increase to the going market rate. Which means at most they might match the online rate, never exceed. As for the locks they sell, they're optimized for their style of door. SATURDAY 9:30AM - January 4 Visit. Your trainee DOESN'T HAVE PEOPLE SKILLS. Dude I don't need your TOUGH GUY VIBE. You might as well work in a warehouse away from people. I always have good experience with EXTRA SPACE STORAGE Employees, please don't be an asshole looking at me like I'm some kind of stupid for asking all these questions. If you didn't mean to then WORK HARD DOUBLE TIME to make our experience PLEASANT. Nevertheless, the guy training him has a great smile, accommodating persona.
