Save yourself use Public Storage! They prorate the monthly rent if left in less than 10 days after billing. It is with great disappointment that I leave this review and will no longer refer any customer to this company. I rented a unit here for a customer in Feb. 2014. During the 9 month stay the rent was raised, making this unit no longer in the price range the customer desired. Despite this we stayed with Extra Space. I've been a customer here for eight years. They have just raised my rent for a 10' x 30' unit to $500 / month. If I were a new customer walking in off the street, the rent for this same unit would be $359 / month (this is a regular rate, not a "special" rate). Essentially, I'm being punished for being a long-term customer. When I asked if they would lower my rent, and they said no. Looks like I have to take my business elsewhere. Only leave your stuff there if you don't mind damage. I left my grandmothers antique furniture there while I finished clearing space in my house for the items. The stuff was there for basically 3-4 months. I dropped it off (rude service renting - didn't honor the deal I'd been given on the web - bait and switch) and didn't return until I could empty the unit. E-gads. What did I find? Terrible customer service. I called in to see when I could sign a lease, and told them I wouldn't actually be moving anything until the next day. When I arrived, I inspected the unit at which point they told me I had to put a lock on it as soon as I signed a lease (which was not in the terms and conditions when I made the reservation online). Of course, they had their own locks for sale, but I decided to take my business elsewhere.

Nice, clean place but they raise rates ( without telling you) every 4 to 6 months about $20 to $40's. Beware that if you move out anytime during the month they will not pro-rate your money back. I paid $200 for the month of November and move out on the 17th of that month and they said they will not prorate my money for the rest of the month even though I wont be using the unit. I wonder who pockets that money ?

This place is over priced & dirty! I'm pretty sure there are termites in the building- the amount of sawdust that covered all of my stuff was unbelievable & ruined a lot of stuff. Shop around! there are much better deals at cleaner places

I was extremely disappointed with the lack of "doing the right thing" customer service from Extra Space Storage. My boyfriend had rented the space and I was paying the monthly rate ($99). We ended up moving the week after Thanksgiving. It was extremely hectic and rather than calling to see what the protocol was for ending the contract, I paid the bill in order to avoid any late charges.
