I just received a notification in the mail that they're going to increase my rent by $100!!! I've only been here 3 months and they're going to be charging me $300 instead of $200! What an insane rate change!!! I feel ripped off and now I will need to find a new place and move AGAIN!

They have raised their rates three times since they have taken over. All within this year! It's such a shame!!!

If I could give negative stars I would.. I bought a storage unit in which it was a "lien" unit and ended up being staged and nothing but trash in there. A safe was in the unit I bought but it had been broken into the gun cases had nothing but 2 1911mags. Shot gun and 45 rounds all over the floor.. I Lost 1300$ in this unit because nothing was good only trash.. the manager even before he opened my storage said " I saw some gun cases there by the door I didn't open them because I could get in trouble" that was a bit weird (may... read more

This place has gone from being a storage facility I constantly sang the praises of, to the least convenient place I can imagine doing business with. No longer open on Sundays. Long lunch breaks at weird hours when you try to go on a Saturday. Having to call the dude and then wait 5-10 min while he makes his way to the office to let you in. I work a job where my hours/commute bookends their M-F hours almost every day, and sell on Etsy on the side. I used to like it before they switched owners. I feel like the office is always closed , I can never get to my storage because of the odd hours and lunch breaks. It's unfortunate that Extra Space Storage is buying up all the good storage facilities .
