Fees are astronomical. I have a 10x10 space. Extra love purchased Storage company where my goods are stored . The late fee is higher than the late for the rent on my apartment. I can get the same space at U-Haul for half the price. Price gouging seems to be the practice. Just received notice on another increase. American Greed at it's finest.

Company can improve on doing a lot better on hiring managers in some areas due to them not having any class when dealing with customers . Mangers are to ghetto and and dont even do their job properly and it a shame that they seat there and get paid for nothing they dont clean their facilities . At all and def try to get over on people . I wont be referring anyone to this business they better try some were else first !!!!

Raised my monthly costs and so I notified them I would not be continuing with them. As a result I was denied access to remove my lock and leave the door open indicating that I was out. The next month rolled around and I received a message saying that my unit would be auctioned off.I I immediately called and went by the facility and gave them the key to a lock I bought and tried to get the extra charges removed because of the fact that I was denied access from the unit to remove my lock only to be told that they would be send... read more

I have a complaint against Extra Space Storage **** that took over my Life Storage account in in ***********, *****. First of all, I am stationed overseas in ******* and was never late on my payments. I had my storage unit for the last four years without any issues. I received regular emails about price increases and anything else that pertained to my storage. We have been with this same storage facility for about 30 years. We received their latest invoice dated 1/30/2024 and payment due date was 2/1/2024. The invoice was not received until Feb 6. I was told we would have to pay a late fee of $138.20 because payment had not been received by Feb. 1. I looked at some of their older invoices and the invoices were always dated around the 12th of the month with a due date of the 1st of the month. What's up with the change in the billing cycle? This is the second experience I have had speaking with the manager ***** and he was not only extremely rude and unprofessional but he was disrespectful and hung up on me. I recorded the call because of how rude and unprofessional he was speaking to me and when I asked him if the calls were recorded he sarcastically said yes. I am filing a complaint about the business practices of ************* **** My husband rented a storage unit 1 1/2 years ago for $70 He was hit with a price increase within 6 months to $91. he received notice today about another increase to $140. Extra space and its subsidiary Life Storage engage in shady misleading tactics that borderline on bait-and-switch. I signed up for a unit then was asked to switch to a different storage unit upon arrival. 2 months after what I was told was my rate of rent and not a promotional rate, I received notice in the mail my rent would increase ******%. When speaking to a representative from ExtraSpace I was told this was normal practice.

Extra Space Management, Inc. Is bad for business! The LIFE STORAGE is located at ************************************************************, the worst company in the area! They promoted their free month, and after 3 months, the rent increased like h*** We have already reported this to the ***** & FEDERAL for their conducting a lousy business and cannot manipulate consumer for their greed and selfishness!
