I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Life Space or Extra Space Storage. When I initially rented a storage unit three months ago, I was given a reasonable monthly rate. STAY AWAY ! All the negative reviews speak for themselves. Deceitful business practices. They tell you nothing upfront and manage to quickly double your rent. The people you speak to are disingenuous and could care less about your problem. They claim market rates are to blame for increases. But then they offer you a different spot for cheaper. This is the worst storage space anyone can get storage from. When you sign up online, they give you one price, get you locked in. Grabbing all your information etc. Once this is complete. You go in person, they do not honor what you signed up for. Instead they double charge you. If you call and state you want to change the date of payment, they give you the run around. ********. Taking advantage of the elderly by telling them $49.99 a month and then 3 months into it raising it to $130 a month and putting them in a bind all of a sudden. I've dealt with this place in the past as well and they did the same bait and switch price gouging. They are charging an elderly woman over $50 more than the advertised price. WARNING!!!!! Read the rental agreement contract word by word before you decide to use this company. The online website deals are not deals. The rate they advertise as a special will end after three months and will go up to the suggested rental price without notice. I consider this legal false advertising not only by the website but by the verbiage used in the contract as well. This is the absolute WORST company to work for. Expect to be over worked, underpaid and told "well you chose this job," from higher management.They will not work with you on inclement weather, they will not listen to complaints, especially over workload, and they will not follow employee handbook policy. ******************************* is the absolute worst involved in management. This company is a group of thieves they give you a rate and every 2 to 4 months they increase your rate. The first time was two months into my time they tried to increase from $80 to $160. They dropped to $105 which I just didnt want to move my stuff again now 4 months later they increased from 105 to $200 thats theft I will be pulling my stuff out of that storage facility they are crooks and we allow this type of business to be done in *******. BEWARE!!! This company (specifically pointing you to the location in **********, **) has a history of DOUBLING your rent in as few as 1-3 months after you sign up with them and actually MOVE IN.
