I ordered a catered meal from Federalist Pig for a party and they knocked it out of the park. Jessup was very helpful in getting my order on short notice. The food was amazing too. We got a family pack and a few sides and it basically fed 20 adults and 10 kids and we still had leftovers. Everyone was raving how good it was. Would highly recommend ordering for a party.

I've had this restaurant on my list for a couple of years. I was in the city for a concert and absolutely had to try Federalist Pig. It did not disappoint. My friend and I shared the pitmaster special for two. The meats we chose were brisket (burnt ends), rib tips, pork belly, and pulled pork. For our sides, we chose mac & cheese, crispy brussels sprouts, potato salad, and coleslaw. This place deserves more STARS. Holy smokes I order the bed rib and its t was so amazing... it was like eating a gift from god . I travel all over this great country of ours and this by far was the absolute Beef Rib I've eat to date. A must visit if you are in the DC area. Service was quick

Went here to try out the bbq with my friends. It was hike from the metro and high on demand but we were able to get a seat and really enjoyed the food. Decent portion and warm food. The only complain is just not enough seating and hard to get unless you're here during non busy hours. I recommend this place for bbq!

First timer here, the food was amazing but the service was lacking. If I wasn't already knowledgeable about Texas cafeteria style dining I would be completely lost. The protein portion for what you pay is above average but flavor is impeccable. We got the brisket, rib tips, spare ribs, pork shoulder, turkey, fed rib sandwich and jalapeño sausage. We had heard a lot of good things about Federalist Pig, so we made a point to stop in while we were in DC. The employee at the register was extremely helpful, took the time to answer our questions, and made it easy to decide what to order. One thing to know before you go is that the menu on the wall doesn't include prices, so it was a little difficult to know what everything cost while ordering. I've been here a few times. I usually get the sausage links which are really tasty. This weekend I got green beans as well as the Oreo pudding. The green beans could use a little more seasoning, but the Oreo pudding was absolutely delicious. I'm not usually into desserts but the Oreo pudding is great!!!

Great place I had to check out while in DC. The staff was helpful as it was my first time there. The Texas flood sandwich was suggested. The dinning room and restroom were very clean. I loved the swamp cooler blowing full blast cause it was a scorcher of a day. The sandwich was delicious and flavorful and the beer.... Well come on it's cold beer! Yum!

I had the pulled pork sandwich and it was absolutely delicious. I wish I had come with a bigger appetite because the ribs and brisket looked great. Is the sandwich is any clue as to the quality of everything else, I'd say you can't go wrong at this place. Will 100 percent go back.
