I was iffy coming here, just because of the word "pig" on Federalist Pig made me think they only served pork, but they also serve chicken, brisket and they even have salads! The sandwiches are so good. The cherry lemonade is so good. The SALADS are AMAZING. I walk here sometimes on my lunch break to get a salad. Never disappoints.

Too warm inside and not as clean as I'd like to see, but it's a fast food bbq joint so meets expectations. Nice mix of meat offerings and five different sauces. Food was good. Soft drinks are only in cans.

Came here for dinner last night with family, and the AC was out. Made the location unbearable to eat in. I will not come back to this place until that AC is fixed. The food though was good. We had pork rib tips (tender), pork belly (a must order), brisket (of course) and the smoked half chicken (how you would run out of chicken breast for the dinner rush, bad planning). Will try this place again but not until that AC is fixed.

Casual dining experience with great BBQ. It's order at the counter and pick up your own order kind of place. So it's not necessarily dependent on service of staff per se. Food was ready fairly quickly. The spare rib and briskets were very good. Also brussel sprouts were delicious. However seasoning in general was a bit on the salty side for me. Price for a BBQ joint is fairly reasonable. It was a good experience.

The food was excellent, and the service was outstanding. The employee who assisted me provided great recommendations based on what he enjoys the most. The sauces they offer are fantastic, ranging from sweet to tangy and spicy. I will definitely stop by again to try something new!

The wife and I finally got out to check out Federalist Pig (FedPig), because we have heard great things about it. We both are from Central VA and grew up on Carolina BBQ, so we both know how hard it is to find great BBQ in NOVA...and it's HARD lol. TLDR: FedPig is the best BBQ spot we have been to in NOVA so far, although it's not at our extremely high bar of BBQ standards set by places in North Carolina & Southern VA. It's certainly worth a visit. As always when I go to a BBQ joint for the first time, I'm always going to ... read more

Best BBQ I've ever had. We ordered the feed the fam with the brisket burnt ends, wings, ribs and pulled pork. We were in town from Miami and now that we are back home we can't stop thinking about that brisket. Everything was cooked and seasoned to perfection. Staff is so helpful and it's a perfect place to share a meal with family.

i dont know why people say it's the best they ever had. maybe it is. but certainly not THE best. just wished it wasn't hyped up so much, otherwise i'd give it 5/5. it's pretty decent. sauces are a bit watery. their carolina sauce doesn't have much flavor (think watered down a bit). the meat seems kinda standard, not really fall off the bone. definitely worth a trip if you are in the area but i wouldn't go out of the way in case you think you're missing out on something special. it didn't taste bad either. overall okay/good. ... read more
