We stopped by here for a late dinner after work. I liked the vibe inside as well as the outside seating. Everyone was pretty satisfied with their meals, although the meats could have been served hotter. It's good having a BBQ choice in this neighborhood.
I've had quite some bbq foods before. Today I was a little disappointed trying a new location with good reviews. First, the person taking the order seemed like they didn't enjoy their job Second, our food was not hot and over seasoned The brisket was not tender and the spare ribs was alright. I did end up tossing a one out cause it was cold. I am not sure what really happened. Third, 3% surcharge and tip for basically self serve food The Mac and cheese was good in my opinion as well!
I have eaten a lot of bbq in my life and it is hard to find bad bbq. I found it. I couldn't finish the order. I ordered two different ribs, wings, mac and cheese and green beans. How do you mess up ribs and wings? The Mac and cheese had no flavor. I even tried to add a different sauce with some blue cheese. I could even finish it.
Food: 4/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 3/5 Vibe: - no frills - come hungry Food: - The extensive BBQ sauce options were my favorite part. I recommend trying the garlic BBQ sauce. - I was so full
We ordered burnet ends, brisket, wings & ribs. Everything was so good. My favorite were the wings! Smokey flavor with a bomb ass dry rub (sugar, paprika, garlic & onion powdery flavor). We ordered delivery from ubereats and it came pretty quick and was still warm. We will definitely go back!
Federalist Pig in Washington, D.C., is a BBQ lover's paradise! From the moment you walk in, the smoky aroma lets you know you're in for something special. The brisket is tender with a perfect bark, and the pulled pork is packed with flavor and just melts in your mouth. Their signature sauces add that extra punch, especially the spicy and tangy ones that elevate every bite. The sides are no afterthought here either--the mac and cheese is creamy with a nice cheesy crust, and the collard greens are seasoned just right. The staf... read more
Unfortunately I was not impressed with this place even with the hype. First of all, the meal my wife and I shared was the Pitmaster Special For 2 with potato salad, Mac and cheese, fries, and baked beans. Texas toast, sausage, Brisket - Burnt Ends, and Pork Spare Rib Bones and wings. The sides were particularly uninspiring. The Mac and cheese was soupy. The potato salad was dry. The beans and fries were both decent. On to the meat.... The sausage links and wings were both very good, but also the two things that saved this me... read more

Delicious! Meat was tender and flavorful. Very limited public parking on the street. Service was friendly, didn't have to wait too long for food.
