Came to try their monthly special a lamb gyro, which was amazing!!! I also got a 2meat combo of brisket burnt ends, smoked wings with mac & greens and brussel sprouts. While the briskets wasn't caramelized in sauce like I'm use to, it was moist, tender & still very good. I love smoked wings so couldn't go wrong with them. Their sauces are the best!! The hot bbq actually was spicy and the garlic bbq was packed full of flavor. Wish I had more than just a small container of each! The mac and cheese was decent and while brussel ... read more
Delicious! Worth the wait! The whole family enjoyed their meal. We'll definitely come back!
Always good! They have really tasty sauces. Highly recommend you get anything here but stack up on the sauces
Typical bbq joint with the picnic tables and the smell of smoke and ribs. Food: we ordered the ribs, chicken, Mac n cheese, beans and potato salad. I loved everything except the potato salad it wasn't flavorful and it taste very bland. The ribs were seasoned and delicious to say the least. The Mac n cheese was also a hit. I would visit them again if I am ever in the DC area
Awesome sauce, The medium barbecue sauce as a gift that keeps on giving, the Spicy heat slowly builds and builds. I asked for lean brisket. And was happy.. The turkey was immaculate smoky moist and soft. My wife ordered wings she did not finish did not say why. It's kind of weird that you leave a tip upfront when you order, I had to go and explain that I wanted my beverages while I waited for my food, had a Dennizens hazy IPA . FYI Lunchtime beers are three dollars. I got three meats and a couple sides shared with two people... read more
I want to start with saying that I truly love your food, your one of the best places to eat in the city. although I have tried to order pork for the last 3 times and you never have any? how can you have the word pig in your name but never have any? you never have any banana pudding desert either . I just thought you should know that people are hungry lol also very sick of not being able to order what's on your menu. thanks for your horrible service !!
I tried the FedRib sandwich. I had high hopes for it.. but it fell short in two different ways. The ribs seemed a little old. When I say old, I'm not saying days old. I'm saying NOT as fresh as I would have liked. ALSO, there were little pieces of bone debris in parts of the sandwich. The bone debris made the sandwich a task to eat. I'll be back... but I won't be ordering the FedRib sandwich.
My family and I ate here during the summer and it was so darn good! We were hooked!! Absolutely everything was on point--easy 5 Star rating. With the Thanksgiving holiday before us Wednesday night and so much to do, I suggested getting taking out from the Federalist Pig. The pulled pork was fine (Though, the portion was definitely not what it was during the summer.) My husband said the sausage was fine; however, everything else was awful! The ribs tasted like lighter fluid (Such a waste of money; not one could be eaten--ugh.... read more
I recently visited The Federalist Pig in Washington, DC, and ordered the Two Step Combo Platter, which included ribs, brisket, macaroni and cheese, red bliss potato salad, some pickles, and an unknown pickled vegetable. Starting with the positives, the macaroni and cheese was hot and tasty, offering a comforting, cheesy goodness. The red bliss potato salad was nicely chilled with a delightful hint of mustard flavor, which provided a refreshing contrast. However, the main attractions--the ribs and brisket--were disappointin... read more
