Amazing BBQ in the D.C. area. For the amount of food you get, service is extremely fast. The food is a little pricey, which is the one potential downside, however for the amount of food and the quality of it I'd say it's worth it. The location is a little strange because there are two doors which is a little confusing, however once you figure it out it's totally fine. The vibe is a little industrial/relaxed which is cool. They were out of ranch when we went which was a little disappointing.

Eat with caution of food poisoning- I don't usually do this but I need to share my experience as I lost a weekend. The three of us came in about 7pm on Friday expecting some great food given the social media, my partner and I just having Texas bbq a weeks back from Dallas, and other reviews. The staff were friendly (service) celebrating a staffer's birthday with some music selection and all. This was my third time coming to Federalist Pig and all the times have been really good. Service is always exceptional, everyone is really friendly and helpful. The food is great! This time my partner and I shared a platter with different meats and sides. My favorite by far is the brisket. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very casual with seating at picnic tables but nice. I love the self service sauce station as well.

The ribs are very moist & tender, need more smoke on the chicken. Manager customer service was excellent when I exchanged an item #thefederalistpig #eat #foodreview. I'll give the Boneless rib sandwich a 4.9 out of 5 stars

We came here after seeing good reviews. Neither of us are typically BBQ fans and choose BBQ when looking for a place to eat. The inside was big with ample seating. You go into a cove off the to the right and order and the seating is separate out to the left. The cashier who took our order was incredibly helpful. He helped us order for our small kid. Ordered delivery tonight from Federalist Pig and I hate to say this, it was one of the worst meals of my 32 years on Earth. We ordered the special for 2, burnt ends, ribs, pulled pork, and pork belly, with double fries, green beans, and chili Mac. Everything tasted horrendous. The ribs were completely dry, the pulled pork was cat food at best (and I absolutely hate using these words but really there's nothing else to describe it), the pork belly was dry, and the burnt ends were bland and dry. We stopped by here for a late dinner after work. I liked the vibe inside as well as the outside seating. Everyone was pretty satisfied with their meals, although the meats could have been served hotter. It's good having a BBQ choice in this neighborhood.

I've had quite some bbq foods before. Today I was a little disappointed trying a new location with good reviews. First, the person taking the order seemed like they didn't enjoy their job Second, our food was not hot and over seasoned The brisket was not tender and the spare ribs was alright. I did end up tossing a one out cause it was cold. I am not sure what really happened. Third, 3% surcharge and tip for basically self serve food The Mac and cheese was good in my opinion as well!

I have eaten a lot of bbq in my life and it is hard to find bad bbq. I found it. I couldn't finish the order. I ordered two different ribs, wings, mac and cheese and green beans. How do you mess up ribs and wings? The Mac and cheese had no flavor. I even tried to add a different sauce with some blue cheese. I could even finish it.
