RecommendedWho thought some of the best BBQ ever would be in DC? Coming from NC, I did not expect the pork shoulder to melt in mu mouth. I don't even have the words to describe the brisket just WOW! I also have to mention that the staff was awesome as well. can't wait for my next trip back.

My family and I are visiting DC on vacation. After 5 days of dining out every meal Federalist Pig has been our favorite dining location so far! Super fun glass soda bottles, very large portions (we all took 1/2 our meals home and we have growing teenage kids), and top notch customer service!!
I’m not the reviewing kind of person, but I’ll give it my best. We decided to give this place a try after seeing some positive reviews. It’s one of those hole in the wall places that seeps into your soul and stays there forever! We were greeted by a gentleman with a smile and a friendly face (bless him, he could tell we were first timers) and he made us feel like welcomed guests that he personally invited. An unexpected experience. We found the restaurant on line and decided to try it. Arriving to what seemed to be a garage was a bit discomforting, but the eating experience was not. Highly recommended.
Great experience at The Federalists Pig! The staff was very friendly and accommodating for our family of 4 and the food was outstanding!
Moist, tender, fatty brisket. Savory crispy wings- best I've ever had. and a grape frickin Nehi.
Recommend the Thursday short rib special. But only if you are really hungry.
