Excellent, movers were on time, did what they were supposed to do. No hidden charges <br />
<p>One of Flat Rate's people did a walk through of our old apartment to estimate how much stuff we were moving & give us a price. It was quite a few weeks before the actual move so I had only started packing books. I had about 8-9 boxes. She sent us a quote & estimated I would have 33 boxes. I called the company & told them I thought Iwould have much more boxes than that, they told me no problem. The price would stay the same. Flat Rate Moving was great; super. They were really good. I think it was a pretty good deal. I would definitely use them again.
The actual pick up was OK, I guess. I did get charged more than the estimate as I had more boxes that originally stated. The problem arose after my items were delivered and I tried to contact my sales rep regarding storage charges and never received a call or an email. I originally gave them a "F" for lack of customer service once the job has been completed but have upgraded that to "C". Everything went extremely well, and the moving men were courteous and efficient.
Everything went relatively well for a move except there had been some miscommunication between the main office and the actual movers. (i.e. we had amended the original list of things we were moving more than a week before the move and that had not been communicated.) However, though they arrived a half-hour late (possibly also due to same miscommunication), they were efficient, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was well-wrapped and we were very happy with the move. Movers were punctual and fast! Everything arrived at destination in good order. We also got a follow up email about 2-weeks post move to check everything went smooth.
