They lost items on both legs of the move. I have filed a couple of missing items with this company and not received near their worth back. One item was a very expensive lamp of which only the shade arrived worth $5,000 which I have documented from the store I purchased it from. They acknowledged this information but explained they cover their losses by the pound and only paid me back $1,100 which included the cost of a printer they also lost. <p>It was horrendous. They broke a piece of furniture and refused to fix it. They gave me the run around and never responded to me. They dragged it on and dragged it on. I just let it go. They should be ashamed of themselves. The customer service is horrible. They came, moved the furniture and had little regard for the value of the furniture. They broke the leg and did not even attempt to fix it. They did not attempt to respond to my call. They did not attempt to make it right or to reimburse me. They did nothing. </p>
The moving and storage went well; everyone was very professional. My only grip is there weremultipleissues with billing for the storage, as they overcharged us more than once, and then doubled our rates without telling us. When wecalled about this, they simply said it's because their costs were increasing.
They did a terrible job packing. Many lampshades were crushed and one antique secretary was broken. They were not flexible when asked to put furniture in a room different from what was on the original label. <br />
OMG. I had a good visit with the representative and was very positive about working with them, however after telling me I would get a Quote the next day, it didnt come throgh for over 3 days and then their guaranteed price was over $20,000. The other reputable movers Ive talked to gave me qotes that were over 30% Less. Guess they really pile on the costs for that guaranteed rate. <br />
