My electric bill is an outrageous $400, and to make matters worse, they charge a $25 late fee for being just one day late—all while we’re in the middle of an inflation crisis! I would not recommend Frontier Utilities to anyone! Frontier Utilities is a terrible company. They are very deceptive with their billing methods. They use a 28 to 35 day billing cycle and frequently won't inform you in your acct what day the billing cycle ends until late into the cycle. Their customer service is based in a foreign country (Ecuador I believe) and their agents can only help you if your issue fits their word track scripts. If I could give a negative star I would this company is trash, u can't ever get someone that speaks English enough to voice your concerns or the over priced electricity, I had a bill for 395 the first month after taking a 125 bill credit off, the next month it's over 400 dollars after the credit and get this it was nice and cool for several days so we didn't run any air what so ever and its close to 500 with almost a week without using any air and other than that nothing changed in usage so DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY, There... read more

This company deserves ZERO STARS for customer service and competence. If you want your electric service cutoff on a hair trigger, then Frontier Utilities is the company for you. I called in for service and finished all the agreements. To not have to pay a deposit, I had to unlock my credit. I did it immediately after the call. I received no confirmation email so I called the next day. The rates had gone up and they would not honor the agreement I had made the day before. Their rate is extremely expensive. They use offers that do not lower the rate enough, they only grant it for meeting the requirement. When comparing with other energy companies and friends there is a difference of approximately $100 to 140 per bill.
