I was a patient of Dr. Edleman from about age 4 til about 20 years old when he was on Piedmont Road, he drilled huge fillings in my teeth and as an adult I had to have a lot of dental work done to correct his work. My dentist said the drilling was excessive. My parents also went to him and my mother had to get all her partials redone especially her front teeth which looked unnatural. If you are reading this review, you are looking for a dentist or have had a bad experience with Gentle Dental McCarthy Ranch. Hope this helps you before you decide to go there. The people are nice as the lady mentioned in another review. They are polite. But unfortunately that does not make up for the lack of ethics demonstrated in this case!! Their billing is anything but Gentle. I've been shocked at how bad their billing department has treated me. A good reminder that regardless of how nice your dentist may be, you're still dealing with Gentle Dental, a giant company with 130 offices and big company billing practices in the end. There's no real patient relationship here. To say I'm so disappointed with them is an understatement. So be warned - I had high hopes but I'm never going to use Gentle Dental again. As a regular dentist, I think he does a great job and is very friendly and gentle with what he does. But as a cosmetic dentist, I made a huge mistake by going through him. I'm in my early 30's and people think I wear dentures after getting veneers done by him. He's not a cosmetic dentist because he doesn't have the eye for being able to tell the difference between natural looking and fake. Worst dentist ever - money grabbers! They setup appts for me, w/o asking me. Charged me left and right and even though I padi right on time of appt, sent additional bills @my home. there was difference of opinion b/e doctor and his asst about whether my teeth needed deep cleaning!!
