I recently wrote a review for Dr. Ralston at Gentle Dental. One thing that I left out was the fact that they were able to do with hy wife's veneers. It was the best value in the area. Great experience and reasonable price. I'm also considering them some TMJ work (I guess the doctors call it Tempro Mandibular Joint) due to headaches. So many doctors say they do it, but can't explain what it is. Dr. Ralston and a few of his colleagues gave me a good overview.
Don't come here, this place is a scam!! I went to Gentle Dental for a singular appointment for a deep cleaning and fillings, which I paid for right after the service at the front desk. Tell me why months later they sent me a notice to pay $500 of mystery fees on top of the $200 (and insurance) I already paid for that one appointment?? I have been trying to reach them for clarification on this and they've been dodging my calls. I would suggest avoiding this place at all costs!
My experience with Gentle Dental was very disappointing. In my experience, the communication and customer service were unprofessional. I was not satisfied with the quality of the dental work I received, as it did not meet my expectations. It was also extremely difficult to get in touch with the office. Absolutely do not come here. They will tell you that your insurance covers your services then after you're done, inform you that your insurance actually doesn't cover the services and you have to pay over $2k for the services provided or speak with your insurance for 3 hrs straight to fix the situation. Angie the front desk lady is absolutely unprofessional and does not admit her wrongdoings.
I came here for a cleaning a few months ago and on my first visit, the hygienist (Rey) ripped off my permanent retainers. I could feel him tugging & pulling on it & when I got home, the retainers were not glued to my 2 middle teeth anymore. I made an appointment to get them repaired. They told me that it would cost 1k to repair the retainers and if I get them glued, it would just come off anyways. Now why should I pay for something that they broke? Not any more. Dentists and hygienist are decent. Office staff are problematic. I was once left with no pain management after an extraction. I barely made it home. Their accounting system and record keeping also presented problems and wound up costing me more money for duplicate work. Tried to talk to Doctors but there seemed to be a barrier put up by office staff that made it difficult. This is an office that I'd been coming to for over 40 years. Awful clinic for orthodontic work. Would not recommend. The orthodontist is only on-site a few times a month, which significantly slows down treatment compared to other offices. Appointments are routinely double- or triple-booked. Every visit involved extremely long waits--often an hour or more--despite having a scheduled time. Their payment handling is completely incompetent. They threatened to send me to collections even though I had consistent payments through OrthoBanc. This place is absolute mess! They don't answer phone calls, they are unprofessional and I would never recommend them! Their type of care is the same bad!
Horrible experience with this office. I went here and after cleaning they would leave you in the chair an hour and then wait for the doctor to come check you out. What did the doctor do? come here to upsell you stuffs you don't need Also, guess what, I work for a top employer in the bay and our insurance is great. Randomly, I got bill for $30?
