i highly recommend not taking your kids here. we spent almost 3k for retainers for my daughter. the bands keep falling out. this past saturday, the metal part that holds the retainer fell off on one side. my daughter was in some pain so i called the after hour number they have. some lady answered the phone, sounding like i was bothering her!!!!!!!!!! she got my info and said a doctor will be calling you back!!!! no one called back!!!!!!!! these guys are so damn terrible. all i here is sorry this sorry that, but when y... read more

Not a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere, from the reception who was mean to the Boss who cared about $$ rather than the customer. then, the long waits apx 30-45 min wait time to see the Dr. They also over charged our acts. Not reccomended.

I'm not sure what is wrong with this place...the Dentists and Hygienists are great...but the office administration is TERRIBLE. They can't seem to schedule properly. This week, I called in 3 times to verify my appointment time. All 3 times, I got a slightly different time. It really didn't matter, since I still had a long wait once I checked in. I have been with Gentle Dental Mililani for about 4 years now, but as of today no more. I had scheduled my annual check up for October. About a week before my appointment I received a text message confirming my appointment for 1:00 p.m. I replied back "yes". Three days before my appointment I get another text confirming my appointment, again I replied back "yes". Never made it in to see a dentist. First called in late December to make an appointment. Earliest one was first week of Feb. In mid Jan received a call saying that the dentist was going to be on vacation and so now I would need to come in March. Called back to see about getting an earlier appointment, Dana said she would call me back (this is the second time she said that)...two days later, still waiting.

I dont recommend this place. i had a nightmare of a root canal done here, it was horrible!! waited an hour after checking in for an appointment before leaving once. had concerns about TMJ, was referred to the orthodontist who just gave me a consult for braces, which i already had years ago. lots of waiting...just tried calling there to transfer my records to my new dentist, no answer, just keeps ringing and ringing....save yourself the trouble.

I have been taking my family to this office for 3 years now. I have over looked many issues along the way to include consistently running behind, dentists who fail to communicate what is going on, and taking 7 shots of novicane to be able to remove a tooth leaving me numb for over a week. But todays visit with my 12 year old daughter has prompted me to write this review to attempt to prevent others from going through what we did.
