I've been going to this dental office since I was a child but it seems like the customer service here has gone down. Every time I call no one picks up. I was told on my last visit that I was going to get a call the next business day with a quote but still no call. It almost a week and still nothing so I tried calling my self but yet no one picks up the phone. All I want is to get the quote so that I make an appointment asap before my teeth gets any worse. If you are going to choose this place please make it your last resort. They are very unprofessional as mentioned in the other reviews. They never answer the phone and when you do leave a voicemail, they never call you back. The office is small so I don't understand where or what The receptionist could be doing. I've been in limbo with them for the past month trying to just arrange an appointment. They've never returned not one voicemail. Me and my entire family (myself, wife and two young kids) loved Gentle Dental for years. Then the staff changed and everything went to hell... I'm a retired union crane operator. This office made tens of thousands of dollars off of me over the years. Back in November or December of 2018 I needed tooth #1, a molar, extracted. The dentist opted to remove the adjoining molar also, so #s 1 and 2 were removed. Unfortunately, the entire root of #1 was left in my gum. Worst experience EVER. I get better service at the DMV and Burger King. I came for a cleaning a month ago and was told everything was fine. Then I was told once I got there that I had to use a credit card only (which I was told over the phone cash would be fine) and because I didn't bring it w me I had to reschedule. They rescheduled me a month out (yes, 30 days). I have been a customer of Gentle Dental for years, enjoyed the service at Pearlridge for many years. Switched to Mililani for convenience and this was the worse mistake of my life. Customer service is horrible to say the least. Dental care is even worse. My son had cement left on his teeth that needed to be removed by another dentist- and the only way we found out is when we switched dentists- which means for years they missed it at cleanings. I have an irrational fear of the dentist and finally found a dentist that I was comfortable with. Dr. Zant didn't disregard this ridiculous issue even though most do. I happened to fracture MY FRONT TOOTH a month before my wedding. Worst customer service ever and practice ever! I will find a new dentist for myself and children after this morning's incident. I have full coverage dental united concordia, have never paid more than a small amount. I walk in and am immediately handed a bill of what i will owe before even being seen. I have already had x-rays etc and all of sudden i need them all again for a simple referral to ortho?I am all about procedure , but they are out of line.They are hard up to charge for anything and everything even when not needed... read more

So I'm only giving this three stars because I had a great experience the first time I came here. I'd had a seizure and managed to knock a tooth slightly loose and they quickly got me booked in and came up with a simple and quick solution to stabilise it while it healed. The dentist and dental assistant were friendly and kind. The second time however, was not the same. First I felt like I was being shamed for not having had the root canal I needed done yet. Came in today ready for an exam and a root canal. I called last week to confirm and even made a follow up appointment for next week for my crown. I get here and now the receptionist is telling me that I might get referred out and not even have the root canal done today.
