    Terrible print quality Ya know I’ve had two of these.... both of them have terrible print quality... it will duplicate the header of a page to the center of the page... i tried alcohol, wiping the drum, etc... Junk. I’m done with the Brother brand. I print about 150,000 documents a year. I would recommend investing a few more bucks into something more reputable

    Terrible Printer This printer smears ink all down the page leaving lines and dots on each print job. Returned it and received a 2nd one with the same problem. Additionally, it has had driver and firmware issues requiring multiple updates from Brother's painfully antiquated website. Additionally, I often have to manually wake the printer from sleep in order to print, though this is not consistent. Do not buy.

    Poor print quality Print quality on this brother printer is worst than other models. I have an old 2270dw, worked perfectly. Purchased this new one as I need one for the office. Printed about 300 pages with genuine brother toner, the toner smush everywhere on most of the pages.

    Leaks toner I bought this printer for occasional use and have regretted it. It leaks toner over the first page or two of most print jobs. After that, everything looks great and it's a nice fast printer. However, if it sits for any length of time above about 5-10 minutes, it happens again on the next print job. I bought a new toner cartridge thinking that would fix the problem, but naively waited a few months before installing it. The new cartridge is doing the exact same thing.     Horrible print quality Perhaps the first dozen or so pages printed cleanly. After than, toner smudges on every page getting worse with each page. My current total page count is only 127! I have no interest in wasting my time with Brother's customer support (as many other reviews have suffered) and I waited too long to send it back. Since I don't do a lot of printing, it took some time before I had printed those first dozen or so pages. Congratulations, Brother! Another "disposable" appliance and you took my money for it.

    Defective Right Out of the Box This printer was defective right out of the box. As soon as I plugged it in, a PLEASE WAIT notification started blinking on the LCD screen and a motor kept cycling on and off. The on/off button failed to work. I unplugged the printer, plugged it in again, and the PLEASE WAIT message started blinking along with the brief motor cycling sound. The printer wouldn't connect with my computer, either.     Poor quality printing Bought two of these as supplemental office printers thinking that Brother printers were good. But after repeated attempts to clean, replace toner cartridges, and help from the tech line the printers both make fuzzy or dirty or spotted documents. Very disappointing; getting an HP.

    Black dots on prints. Do not buy!! As a person working in IT we all hate printers as it is. But this printer take the cake. This is a brand new printer and every print job is filled with black dots all over the page. Turning to brother support they recommend you clean the drum of any debris that can be causing these dots.     Bad print quality After just a few pages of printing, it is already getting ink all over the page, spots everywhere.
