Last Time I Buy A Brother Printer Last Tiime I Buy A Brother Printer. When a toner cartridge is running low, the printer will let you know. If you have not bought the replacement cartridge in time, you are out of luck. You can not override the low toner cartridge messages anymore in Brother printers. Once the message is displaced the printer is USELESS. You can not printer a single page until you replace the cartridge with a NEW BROTHER certified toner cartridge. I had the same problems with many other printers - I bought three or four the same model of some printers thinking that I could easily swap the toner and image drum among them. No I could not. Make it worse, a combination of the drum image and toner DNA makes it a nightmare to figure out which printer is married to which toner and to which image drum. The victims are the "Consumers"

Updated review for printer Please see updated review from below. I have posted review for this printer as 1 star. It was user's faults not know how to set up the printer. I gave this 5 stars. Below is previous comments: I purchased this printer and paid for shipping $29 because I needed it before Christmas. I would not recomment this. It smudged copies, lines and dot on image. I am returning this printer.

Connected via USB to the primary user's computer and worked fine. Now We've had this printer in a small office environment for about 3 months. It had problems out of the box losing connection with the network - even with a fixed IP. Tech support was not very knowledgable about TCP/IP and suggested the problem was we weren't running IP6. Very fast but also irritatingly slow In most respects, it was a fine printer. However, perhaps it was a defective unit because it would pause 25-30 seconds between each document. Since I often send multiple 1-page documents to the printer, one right after the other, it was very frustrating watching it print for 5 seconds, sit for 30, print for 5, sit for 30, etc. When it was printing a multi-page document it would spit out one page right after another, no pause, so that was nice. Good general use office printer. Color print quality is acceptable for general office use but not outstanding. The printer set up easily and has been working fine. Using the Windows 10 driver it would print an extra page at the end of every print job complaining about the drivers. We downloaded the Brother driver package to eliminate the last page telling us it could not do what it had just done. Don't buy it to print color photos. Color photos are worse than a plain, cheap desk jet printer. B&W prints fine. Quiet.
