    BEWARE: BURNS THROUGH TONER NO MATTER WHAT Update: We are a two-person office and one of us uses a Xerox Phaser for color, so this printer is not at all heavily used, but it requires new toner every 4-6 weeks! It claims 3000-6000 pages depending on super-size or regular size, but we haven't printed that many pages total and already have had to buy three sets of toners! Great machine, but it's a rip-off from day one. The cartridges that come with it are about 10% of a full one so you have to replace all five pretty quickly. I... read more

    Worst brother printer ever I have owned a number of brother printers through the years and always found the reliable. That is not the case with this one. It jams and prints solid black pages constantly. When I was experiencing this unexpected behavior I contacted brother and they replaced it under their warranty . Now the replacement is doing exactly the same thing.

    XP Compatable? I asked the question, "Is this printer compatible with Windows XP 32 bit OS. I got a response from so called manufacturer, "No it is only compatible with Windows 7 and later". Hello!!! Brother has a website that will download the drivers for Windows XP. Go figure. I am going to buy one anyway and if it doesn't work with XP, I will send it back for a refund and quote the Brother web site that offers drivers for Windows XP. I wish these people would get their acts together.

    Poor color prints Had several issues with the output. First color was very poor. Also it had a driver issue and would print 25 or more sheets out with random one line of text and symbols. Wasted a lot of paper and ink.

    Could not get good colors I read OK reviews for this printer on Amazon and other places, but this printer did not work out for me. I wanted to like it because it seemed sturdy, and I did get wireless to work after not too much effort (reboots and on/off mainly-then voila it worked). But the colors were not close to what I expected. I don't print a huge variety of color docs, so I thought I could create an adjusted profile for the ones I print multiples of, but Brother's color adjuster is very primitive, so it was very time c... read more

    Brother Color laser printer It is slow and the quality is not the greatest.

    The printer stopped working after one month of usage The printer broke just a week after the return window. It does not print at all. Even though there is a whole rim of paper in the tray, it keeps showing the no paper error message.

    Garbage printer for labels I bought this to print labels for my home business. The multipurpose tray is fickle; sometimes it will print labels aligned correctly. Other times, I am fighting the MP try to accept the label paper. This is a brand new printer. This was a waste of money. Don't buy this printer for LABELS period. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I wasted my money; don't do the same.
