Terrible customer service. 18 months after selling our home and closing the Hocon propane account, Hocon contacted me for my forwarding address so they could send me a statement that shows zero balance. The customer service rep told me that we didn't inform them to close the account, even though her notes showed that we told them the house was being sold. I did instruct them to close the account. She started blaming me (the ex-customer). I will NEVER use Hocon again.

Poor customer service. Put me on hold for 15 minutes and then it automatically hung up on me at 4:30 because they closed. Billing is a mess--have had to speak to them several times to get it all straight. They sent my account to collections for a statement that I never received. I will be switching companies.

Find another propane supplier. I was a customer for 14 years. then learned I was being overcharged. I was charged rental on the tank and $7.78 per gallon for propane. Switched to a new supplier with no tank rental and only $2.99 per gallon. When I cancelled Hocon they charged me a $150.00 cancellation fee and told me it would take four to six weeks to get the credit balance refund on my account. You can do much better elsewhere!

I have been a customer with Hocon propane for a few years , can't wait to get out from them. NICOLE is horrible and the worst at Hocon in Torrington. It's sad that Hocon employees these people without any manners and customs service skills. she yells and screams on the phone and the absolute worst. I can't wait to get out of my contract and change companies.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! TOTAL SCAM! They will accidentally charge you double. When you call them, they apologize, but it keeps happening! Even when they lower it after you call to complain, it is still higher than everyone else!

I found out other propane companies are charging their customers $2.69 per gallon (Musco/Superior company) cheaper than Hocon. 10/7/22 Hocon's charged me $4.8848 per gallon as the market price for propane. I don't think that this is reasonable market price; it seems to me their price. The average nationwide is under $3.00 per gallon at the time of this review. We sold our home on June 29. Hocon's Tank on my property had approximately $900 of propane contained in it. As of September 1, I still haven't received reimbursement of the $900. However, I did receive a bill for $166 for them to come out and read the tank on day of closing. Despite frequent calls, I continue to just get a run around. They are now telling me it will take 4-6 weeks more to receive a check in the mail I will let the facts speak for themselves here. do not use hocon for propane or any boiler repairs! they have been rude and incapable of fixing any of our issues. when asked to provide written information to prove that they've been working to no avail, they call and still not fix the problem. this company is suspect. bad reviews. they say they have licensed technicians but the technicians aren't sure what to do. they say they can't fix the problem but honestly ya'll broke it!
