Monday August 12th I called my home warranty to have are AC replaced they sent a request to have Houston Air contact me for a same day service. Since Houston is in a heat advisory. Houston Air never contacted me so I reached out to them. They did not come out same day and scheduled me for the following day. Tuesday they came out and told me the compressor was bad and that they reccomend replacing the unit all together. Houston Air Comfort replaced my AC system on May 21, 2019. The technicians did a fairly decent job and all appears to be working well for now. I cleaned up trash and parts left behind by the workers as well as quite a few screws in my driveway. Most of that may be understandable as it was 2:30 am when they finished the install. HOWEVER: I noticed many screws (8 total) missing from the attic access being put back in place. They were found lying in the insulation after I looked around a bit. I replaced them. Horrible experience. They contract for American Home Shield and take far more calls than they can service. My AC is completely down and they are stating they soonest they can make the service call is FIVE, yes FIVE days from now. This is with knowledge of me having my young son (6 months old) in the house. A baby in the Texas heat and humidity for 5-days. Avoid this company. Please read the other negative reviews. they lied to me about my insurance company not replacing my broken AC unit. I bought a new one from them and then found out about a year later that my warranty company will replace a unit as long as it's beyond repair. I cannot recommend them.

First, I had to call to set up my scheduled fall inspection which normally they contacted me as when I purchased a/c unit 2x a year maintenance checks came with it. Tech was supposed to be here between 1 pm and 6 pm which I happily waited didn't show up until way after 6 pn and after I had to call to see if they were showing up. Tech said that the office didn't tell him abt call until late and he was down South so traffic which was understandable. The positive review I posted on 9/19/2018 was for the technician only. I would give the company a (D). I intend to file a complaint with the owner 1st and continue from there. I have previously tried to get itemized bill and was told that that was not allowed to get detailed bill. Also even though I inquired of the sales person as to the ducts ( original to house built in 1950) being replaced I have since found out that only a portion of ducts were replaced and connected to the old ductwork. This is a follow up to my first review. I was told by the salesman that we would have 5 months deferred payments beginning in December 2018, wrong. I just got a bill due on August 22. The technician told me that he would get 5” if insulation blown into our attic area for no charge, wrong. We were supposed to have a quality check, nope. We still don’t have one vent that is ducted.
