This hotel is not a 3.5 average rating as suggested. The pictures posted are a complete lie. I consider this a rating of 1 (that's being generous in my opinion). The carpet is disgusting with stains. The bathroom ceiling has black mold. The kitchenette table has some nasty sticky residue on it. The heater didn't work. Housekeeping only provided clean towels. Never changed the bedding even though it was requested. I recommend you find somewhere else to stay.

Not worth the price Very disappointed. The Inlet was referred by a friend who was a local resident. She spoke highly of it. Sadly, my room smelled awful, the hair dryer didn’t work, small old-school TV was hard to see from the bed, outlet by the bed had no power, trim falling off the wall. The Staff was helpful when I called about the smell; they did all they could which was literally to bring a spray bottle of air freshener. The line staff was very friendly and helpful. There were bed bugs in my room and I wasn’t given a different room as I had no proof to show them.

Staff and shuttle service was only thing good about property.First room we were assigned was for some reason locked from inside so could not get in. Apparently room self locked. We got assigned second room which was very bad. Room would not lock, smelt bad even though it was supposed to be non-smoking and comforters were stained.We were hardly there for 4hours before train so did not change but not comfortable.

Glad we didn't pay full price... The hotel shuttle is free, but be prepared to wait over an hour for it in the rain after 20+ hours of travel without the staff really caring at all! Also, there is no wifi and the hotel is in bad need of some new beds. On the plus side, there is a great local market across the street with wonderful coffee!

Old Anchorage Hotel Pros: Airport shuttle Cons: Updating everything! Could not control room temperature from the room. The extra blankets they gave us were very old and yucky! Location: Location is not good if you don't have a car. This hotel is not near any restaurants or shopping within walking distance. Its very old and not updated at all. The only good thing is that it does offer a free shuttle to the airport which is about 15 minutes away. The restaurant on the premises is good and reasonable, but limited choices.
